Birds are a joy in the garden, not only for their beauty and birdsong, but also because they eat harmful garden pests, and this book shows how to attract them with food, water and places to shelter. It shows you a wide range of feeder types to create, from wire hanging feeders and bird tables to copper and chrome birdbaths, as well as nest boxes, birdhouses and roosts.

Right off the bat I learned that baby birds can choke on peanuts AND that birds can get their beaks glued shut with suet. The things that have escaped me are astounding. and you should soak bread and dried fruit before feeding. I liked these bird houses a lot. The idea that appeals most to me is that the birds could use these for winter shelter with a little clean straw inside. I was hoping my husband would want to build some for me, but he didn't!
