Jagmohan, in this strikingly original work, tells us how he carried out the management and other reforms concerning the famous Shrine of Vaishno Devi and what tremendous benefits, social, economic and cultural have flowed from it.

I have many admiration for Jagmohan. Be it "beautification" of Delhi, developing Vaishno Devi Temple infrastructure and saving many lives of Kashmiri Hindus when Radical Islamists wanted to slaughtered every single Hindus in Kashmir valley in 1990s.
This book talks about Vaishno Devi temples and how entire area was developed for devotees. Before that it was really pathetic, there was no hygiene, no living facilities and no sanitation and water facilities. In Jammu and Kashmir, Jagmohan is credited for bring order to one of the most revered shrines of Hindus, called Mata Vaishno Devi. He created a board that continues to provide administration for the shrine. Infrastructure was developed and that continues to facilitate pilgrims. He did all this when Jammu Kashmir was under governor rule, otherwise we all know what kind of work Jammu Kashmir government do. Even central government couldn't interfere due to article 370. Now thankfully article 370 has been repealed. And i am sure we will see lot of development in Jammu and Kashmir. He also wanted to develop Amarnath cave like he did for Vaishno Devi but sadly he couldn't do due to Farooq Abdullah government.
While i was reading this book, I also realized why not Indian and state government reconstruct Marthand Sun temple and Sharda Peeth. Its high time for that.
Along with this i also suggest you to read 'My Frozen Turbulence in Kashmir' by Jagmohan. Its a must read book.
