On the border of Ulster, a young warrior on guard duty faces an epic ordeal. The queen of Connacht, and a contingent of exiled Ulstermen, are planning an invasion, and sixteen-year -old Cú chulainn is all that stands in their way...
The first installment of Patrick Brown's acclaimed webcomic adapted from the ancient Irish Saga Táin Bó Cúailnge.
Much like Gareth Hinds works, I feel like these could be a great companion to reading the classic Irish legends of Cu Culain. The artwork is done well and while Brown takes a little more creative license than Hinds the story is still presented in an easy to digest, more or less accurate adaptation. I found these after reading the webcomic and I think that using the webcomic in class a a companion to the legend is absolutely doable.
