About the author

Queen Brown was born and raised in Pacoima, CA. She now resides in Laguna Beach, CA. with her teenage son and young daughter. She enjoys writing, singing, movies, reading and spending quality time with her family. She works with the mentally and physically handicapped and it has been her occupation for over 7 years. Queen started writing poetry and song lyrics as a hobby at a younger age but her talent pushed her to write novels after a friend suggested it. She wrote The Darker The Berry The Deeper The Roots parts 1 & 2 to provide the readers with a relate able type of read for men and women. Queen Brown's passion for storytelling shows in her writing. Her aim is to inspire people who have gone through or who are going through similar situations as the fictional character in her books to have faith and strong will so that they too can make it out of the darkness. Queen also wrote Adia love, lies and murder and a collaboration titled, Hell No...This Can't Be Love to show her diverse style of writing. Crazy stalkers, just when you think they couldnt do anymore, they do.
This book was totally unexpected.
I can't believe the drama that went on in this book, it was crazy good.
I look forward to reading the next one

I give this book 100 Stars!!!! This book was absolutely great!!!! I love the author Queen Brown and all her books but this book is so darn good!!! I just finished the book and my mouth is still wide open, shocked from the ending of it!!! I don't want to say anything to ruin the book for anyone but I will say this....if part 2 don't come out soon, ill be just as crazy as some of the characters in this book!!!! LOL Queen Brown you have done it again!!! This book was such a page turner and you never knew what was going to happen next!!!! I highly recommend this book and I will be telling EVERYONE I know to read it!!!

All I can say is damn!!! It seems like everybody is crazy and need some type of help or medication. Fallon needs to stop being so naive and actually pay attention to everything. I wish she would've listened to her sister when she was trying to give her some advice. And how could she not notice Tara knew so much more about her then she actually told. But Colby though! I was so not expecting the end but see I have to get Part 2 asap!!! I hope all these mental cases get some help very soon!!!

OMG

Fallon have some admirers that would do anything to have her for themselves. When their actions become more than she can handle, she becomes scared and at her wits end. Peace and a normal life is what she craves, which is hard to come by. The ending had me shocked and feeling some type of way! Definitely a twist, anxious to read part 2

Fallon I blame you for everything, every single thing...lol....I felt each person in this story was a mental case. A lot of names to remember but Colby stood out for me, lol (looney tune). Anyway, Queen Brown you did your thing I like the story a lot can't wait to see what part to has in story for Fallon/Colby/Tara/Sherry. Who stays or who goes? Life that is. great job!

Well dang I've gotta pick up part 2 asap this book was good. Fallon is crazy she really need her head examine its like shes drawn to men that degrade her. I never expected Colby to get a sex change lol that threw me for a loop big time yes part 2 will be on my device sooner then later cause ive got to see what happens next.

This was a good story where all the main characters were straight crazy except for Sherry. Fallon was a hot mixed up mess along with Anthony, Colby & Jarrod. Even though she was victimized, she repeatedly placed herself in circumstances thay demonstrated her level of insanity

OMG. This book was good from beginning and especially the end. I was gagging. This is my first time reading any of this author's books. If part 2 is anything like part 1, you have a new fan. Loved it.

This was a good read. How could Fallon have so much bad luck with men? Everybody wanted a piece of her and when she don't want to fully commit they want to hurt her. Can't believe Colby went that far.

Unpredictable.

When the book first started I wasn't sure how to feel but I was quickly drawn in! What a great read! I'm so excited to read the next book, this one totally surprised me at the end.

Fallon clearly has a lot of issues, but it took a while to get clarity on them and it actually seemed a little far fetched that some of these events were happening which made it hard for me to wrap my mind around. At any rate, there's a lot of action, sex and the writing is pretty decent.

Drama and more drama!

If you like drama, you'll love this book. Good read from start to finish. Waiting for book two. I had to give it 4 stars.
