It's dangerous to find over 1,750 riddles in one place, and the silly cartoons throughout this collection only make it harder to stop turning the pages. Riddles or puns- mostly 2 - liners. Not so relevant for an Indian audience as the terms used are not familiar.

This book is filled with riddles about all sorts of animals, foods, science, and a lot more. It is perfect for kids’ entertainment; and has many illustrations to keep them engaged. There are 20 sections in the book- each with a variety of its own riddles. Almost all of the riddles are either based on animals or inanimate objects. For example, in the section “Go Directly to Jail”, one of the riddles is: Why were the pair of old watches arrested? Because they were two-timers. The illustrations are drawn in such a way that they add humor to the riddle by creating a visual for the reader.

While many of the riddles are humorous, I found that most of them were not very funny. These riddles are great for little children, but little will they entertain a group of teenage kids. A lot of the riddles are cheesy, and not very original. For example, one of the many riddles that I did not find comical is: What do you call a dog that graduates from medical school? A dog-tor. This riddle is not that amusing, and would not get more than a light chuckle. Overall, I recommend this book to young children who need some entertainment.

Recommended for grades 4 and up.
