I really loved this book because it featured a really strong heroine who had characteristics you don't normally get in romance books especially older one's.

For one she was a widow with two kids that actually had a husband she loved and had a good love-life with.
The second she didn't think that she would never get involved with another man sexually again or have hang-ups about her kids seeing her with someone else.
The third she loved and missed her husband but was open to loving again.
The fourth she was spunky and strong as hell who didn't care one bit what her dad or brother thought of the man she loved or felt embarrassed that she was caught with the hero.

Yup all of that made her an awesome heroine. The hero is a prisoner who escaped to get revenge on the man who framed him for his brother's murder because of which he spent four years in prison, lost his mother, his wife divorced him and aborted his kid; so he thinks he has nothing left to loose. He kidnaps the heroine into giving him a lift and leaves. The heroine runs into him again when she finds her kids tending to him in a barn. First off I loved both her kids, they were amazing and so well-adjusted. The heroine helps the hero and learns in the interim that her husband suspected that the hero was setup and possibly killed because he uncovered the corruption surrounding it all.

I liked the romance and sensuality between them; how open they are about their feelings and challenges facing them. Naomi Horton is really an under-rated author whose books I have really enjoyed and this one goes to the love pile!

Although this book is a romance novel and what I normally consider a "no brainer" book, I really enjoyed this story. I loved the strength the author gave the woman in this story.
