VERY ENTERTAINING WWII SPY THRILLER
The plot: An OSS operation in the waning days of the the war to kidnap Adolf Hitler. It's a classic style of plot, and in the hands of a lesser talent, it could have felt pro-forma. In Philip Gordon's able hands, the novel follows the basic protocols for spy thrillers but has enough original characters and turns to feel fresh and absolutely hold a reader's interest.

A great summer read.
