Life is always sweet when any and everything is attainable. Money is never an issue especially when you're part of The League.
The Versace League.
A League so strong that it had been dubbed as one of the most elite collaborative efforts ever. Versace had been rich with class in its design; the League was just the same.
Yamin is the boss of The Versace League and with his brothers Aasir and Cortez by his side they successfully become a force to be reckoned with.
But then there is the saying...Love will get you killed.... Especially when it plays on the heart and weakens the mind.
Love is supposed to be great. A feeling that everyone should experience. But what happens when love is the cause of death and the start of a downfall you never saw coming?
Everything was supposed to run smooth when you live the life of the League, but once penetrated, it all spirals out of control and nothing is what it seems.
Yamin, his brothers, and The Versace League begin to quickly crumble. So quickly that there isn't anything anyone can do to stop it....
Yamin is the leader of The Versace League ,when out of nowhere violence plagues his crew. Those closest to him begin acting suspicious, which has Yamin wondering who can he really trust. Will he be able to find the culprit before it's too late? What a good book it contained everything from drama to suspense from the beginning to the end. Looking forward to continuing this series when part 2 is released. This author never disappoints...Another great job Shan.
I've been rocking with Myss Shan since the beginning of the Rozalyn series. Her mind is just overflowing with stories to tell. I am infatuated with how she allows the things in her imagination to flow, and how it all comes together when it leaks from her pen. The Versace League is an added bonus to Shan's literary resume'. I was very impressed by this story. Yamin is a young brother holding down his family after the untimely death of his father. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders, because not only has he gained his father's three "youngn's", but he has also gain the HNIC position of The Versace League. The League was started years ago by his father and uncle. but in every family or organization there is a leak or someone who feels like they can do the job better. When Yamin's younger brother, Cortez, and his niece Ashley are murdered, Yamin feels like he is losing control of the situation. There are quite a few secrets being kept in this story. Not only does Cortez's thieving girlfriend, Patrice, have a line of secrets and long wrap sheet, but Yamin's corporate lawyer and wife, Jessica, has a few dark secrets in her past as well. Let's just say not everyone in The Versace League can be trusted, and Yamin soon finds that with the help of an insider, his league and family can be easily penetrated. If I could have rated this book ten stars I would have! The story was over the top, and well written. I am eagerly anticipating the second half of this story. Superb Job, Myss Shan!!!
I have to say I was hesitant about reading this in the beginning because of title. At first glance I thought oh great anyone story about drug dealers wearing fancy designer clothes..... boy was I WRONG. This book had everything! Love, Lies, Betrayal ... complete with a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. What a Cliffhanger!!
Kudos to SHAN for writing yet another hit! Job well done..... Now where is part 2? I have questions I need answered lol
4.5 stars a good read...What happens to the league now. Waiting for part 2 why they do that to Jessica, who can hear that sound, or who actually cares. Everybody is out for revenge one way or another. Ms. Shan keep up the good work and I look forward to your next read.
Man!!! I just came to the realization that I couldn't find part two because it's not ready yet. I was going crazy. I love when an author makes me read part two. It's not just a "well if I remember it I will read it." I will be constantly searching.
I really enjoyed this book. It is street lit but with a twist. I was happy to read a book that focused on something other than drug dealers and hood rats. I felt the book was too short, but I will be on the lookout for part 2.
