Seasonal devotional book, with excerpts/quotes from classic Christian authors, Puritan prayers, & poetry; & accompanied by beautiful photos of flowers, landscapes & country home interiors. Divided into weeks 1 to 13 - each week has readings for Monday-Friday, a reading for the weekend overall & space for notes. Subtitled "meditations for women" though honestly I think anyone would enjoy these, who's looking for a quietly thoughtful book to be pondered over, revisited often, or even just flipped through occasionally to enjoy the pictures, whatever your spiritual bent. The pictures are all northern USA/Canada so far as I can tell, so wouldn't represent "Winter" for everyone, but still very atmospheric. Would make a beautiful gift for someone, though not sure it's in print any more as I got this 2nd-hand off ebay, along with the other books in the series for Spring-Autumn.

excellent book to read during any season of your life...in the early spring when your dreams and goals are still in the planning stage, in the summer, when you are working full steam ahead to accomplish your goals, in the autumn of your life, when you might encounter some difficult changes or when you realize that your dreams might not be realized in their full potential...or in your winter, when your strength, your goals, your dreams might have changed, when your energy level is low, when life changes strike at you at full strength and things are not always easy to grasp, when your youth, your years have caught up with you...the seasons of life, full of dreams, acquisitions, goals...and then like the Preacher, you realize that the most important goal in life is to know and obey God, to walk with the Lord and to let His light shine upon those whom He put on your path throughout the seasons of your life...great book!
