The book is very well written. Each story has brought out a different scenario, about the problems that one might face in higher studies after getting married, when most people just feel loaded with responsibilities, and it feels impossible to pursue your dreams. Your book will go a long way in encouraging others in similar situations to embark on their own journey.

Very nicely written.. It doesn't feel like the fist book of author. Best part is that stories are real hence people can easily connect with it. It is not only for MBA aspirants but for all those people who dare to think beyond society norms.

The one aspect of this book which almost immediately arrests the attention of the reader is the inherent simplicity. This simplicity is reflected in Disha's language, in the emotions of her characters, in the pain of the sacrifices that they have had to make and in the sweetness of their success. These are stories of you, of me and of everyone around us who has had a middle class upbringing and each story reflects that deep rooted drive to excel. These aspirations often extract a cost and Disha portrays them in an endearingly humane manner which speaks a lot about the genuine intent of the author. Books written by management graduates have been much in vogue of late In India, but of the many being written there would be few which manage to strike a chord with the audience and Disha’s wonderful book on the travails of young couples pursuing the MBA dream surely scores highly in this aspect . Lovely dreams and unique situations. Having gone through a similar course myself, I found the story of the pregnant lady absolutely unbelievable but such is life. It throws up such stories which make you sit back and wonder and the fact that Disha has managed to stay true to these situations in her depiction makes this book such a sweet read. I congratulate Disha on the sheer effort it must have taken to collate and weave these stories while undergoing PGPEX and am sure that this book would act as an inspiration for many others who are at the crossroads of deciding.

The best thing about this book is it talks about the impact of a single decision on the life of an individual, which quite resembles the actual life of a human being.
These small stories are written beautifully and talk about the people who take some decisions because of the circumstances ,wherein things look so weird initially but later on as the time passes things get settled down in an amazing way that it initiates adorable moments in the life of individuals.
No one can imagine that one year spent in the collage can make drastic changes in your life but trust me that is what is complexity of the life is and this is something what is the one the best things this book has. Only a person who has empathy can understand these things because you got to live the moments in order to describe it . It gave a new ray of life to one of the characters where in things were gloomy initially then later on it became the best decision of her life. Human emotions are so complicated that you cannot describe it just by writing but trust me the way it is written in the book it enables you to you feel the same what the character is going through which is amazing.

My Beloved’s MBA plans

As from today’s scenario life is getting busier and complicated too. But there are many ways to change this scenario and make life simple. The book ‘My beloved’s MBA plans’ is about achieving dreams and handle difficult situations which can change one’s life. This book is full of experiences, power struggles and decision making.
The way author describes unbelievable but real life stories of lovers and dreamers who proved the power of willingness, dedication and sincerity towards their dreams. As said by author, a must read for those ‘who wishes to take an unconventional decision in life’ which is very true. This book is a continuous way of motivation and inspiration to accept challenges in good spirit. Every new story in this book leaves a strong message of love, care and emotions. This book teaches us to remain enthusiastic and optimistic throughout life no matter how hard obstructions are there towards your destiny.
I recommend this short and beautiful book for those people who want to know the power of willingness to achieve their dreams and remain happy.

A different approach to story telling!
Instead of telling a story with melodramas, innuendos and paras of needless expressions, the author straightaway takes every story to what they had been originally meant for - to give a real-life insight into the challenges faced when you have to choose between your career and family.
The author has been able to successfully bring out the small nuances of feelings and difficulties that would have been practically faced by the characters, through her writings, which has helped give a more realistic flavour to the book.
The book offers a variety of contexts and different challenges, no story has a plot that has been a repeat of an earlier one - hence I am sure many will be able to relate to some story or the other.
In short, it is a refreshing read and the fact that the book isn't a big fat one full off needless characters and sub-plots, makes it even more easy to enjoy.

It is a collection of heart-warming love stories where people had to go beyond conventions to be with their beloved. At first one feels that all of them would be more or less similar, but once you start reading it you get so engrossed in each story that you actually tempt to start the new one asap. A definite page-turner, this book reflects the author’s excellence storytelling skills and her innovative approach to present her thoughts. Another captivating feature here is that these are not simple stories but are told in an interview format.
Disha throughout talks about TRUE love and that too in simple heart-touching language. After reading so many love stories revolving around college people, this one was definitely a fresh breath of air. Disha seems to be a mature author who knows what real love is - much beyond just being together! I loved reading every bit of it and would surely recommend it to those who feel that they cannot relate to modern day love stories

Honestly, my perception about happy couples and marriages is a bit blur. I hardly have seen happy couples and perfect relationships, which has a huge impact on my thought process. But the book was like a different world where real-life couple stories are highlighted where they support each other and fulfill their dreams. The book narrates around sixteen unique stories of couples who despite odds stuck together and lived their dreams. For me, it was surreal and at the same time it gave me hope! It is a lovely reading the stories of real life couples who helped their better half fulfill ‘the MBA Dream’ even if it meant afew adjustments and sacrifices on their part. Also, it was fun reading some masaledar, some not very masaledar, some serious, some fun stories of couples which made it an entertaining affair!

This book is absolutely wonderful and is literally equal to its weight in gold (a very light book btw) if you are a prospective applicant to a executive MBA program. It is not a Novel. It is not a Fiction. It is not a book with made-up characters or incidents. It is the untold story of many of the brave and courageous couples who have dared to dream big and who have made a important decision about career and family. The book takes you around the IIMC campus and shows you a sneak preview of the 16 couples lives who have made a brave decision to venture into something that very few people would.

Just finished with the book and as soon as I finished, I thought of writing a review. The book is a bunch of inspiring stories about people who followed their dreams against all odds. It is immensely engaging and captivating. I found this book better than those written by some of the well known authors that I have read so far , as this book is thin, precise and just the right size. Also, its the epitome of inspiration for people aspiring to go for Higher Studies. A masterpiece in all aspects and the writing style doesn't indicate that this is author's debut novel. Disha is already a professional and I would not be surprised if this book goes on to become a bestseller. To sum up, its a great read. Just go for it.

The first thing I wanted to mention that pulling of this book was itself an achievement considering that Disha not only had to complete her own MBA, but also had to work on this book at the same time. It speaks volumes about the strength in the character of the author itself. Now on the book, these are the combinations of some great unknown characters who had dared to follow their dream with some great support from people around them. These unsung heroes may not be known unless they become Warren Buffet, but I believe these stories also deserve a fair chance to be showcased before everyone.

In today's world where every graduate wants to do an MBA.. societal and family pressure sometimes makes you compromise with your dreams.. Spouse.. Financials.. Job Insecurity.. All these things holds one so tightly that the decision to pursue MBA vanishes..

But some people don't succumb to the pressure as they have their special ones to hold their hands.. Thats what the book brings about..and brings it out beautifully! Written in simple yet powerful words one can easily relate to one or the other story written by the Author!

Kudos to you Disha for pouring out emotions in the book so wonderfully.. All the Best!

Students take up Exec MBA in their late 20s.. so most of them are either married or about to be. As for me, marriage will happen right in the beginning of my course, and the first "rosy year of marriage" is gonna be spent digging into books, and solving assignments.
Its a risk, as a student and as a wife. But then when i came across this book, I realized am not the only one taking the plunge in this world.. the book has real stories of students who've gone through the same dilemma in life, and reading about them has given me a feel-good factor, a kind of re-assurance, that all will be well.
Each of the characters is a hero in his/her life. This book is a collection of how they became so.

To be very honest, i have read many books but "My beloved's MBA plans" was the first book which didn't allow me to stop reading it and save it for later, simply because the connect was made with the book while reading the first story itself and it was intact till the last story's, last page's, last word's last alphabet. Just got indulged in more and more heart touching experience. And not to forget about the smile which was on my face constantly while reading each and every story. After reading it many times still feels like picking it up and read any random story.
Hoping for a new release from Disha soon. May be the sequel.

It's a sweet deal. Pick up the book if you want to get inspired. It's no comical story, no fiction tell tale. It's just pure simple real life experience which one need to enjoy reading and getting few things right in their own life.

It's to the point from the start and till the time you finish it there'll be a lot to learn from the book.

It'll motivate you to work wonders out of nothing and make it large in your life thereby following your dreams and not compromising on love, family and other society pressures too.

Amazing stories. :)

One of the best & perhaps the only novel that i finished in one sitting. Simple, real and inspiring stories has made the reading so pleasurable. The best part is it makes you realize the value of dreams, family and love which are ignored by many MBA graduates who are too busy(or rather lost) in this age of competition. The stories gave a reality check of how unfair & unpredictable life can be, but determination, rightful sacrifices and the zeal for career truly conquers all.

A must read for sure.

When I first heard about 'My beloved's MBA plans', I was quite sure it would be a fictionalized love story of an MBA aspirant, but the concept this book presents is quite amazing and unique. All the stories are engaging and truly inspiring and once I started off, there is just unstoppable curiosity to see what happens in the next one! The book could really inspire many professionals to take the plunge for higher education/MBA or similar such goal. Overall, an excellent & highly recommended read. Author could do well to follw up with a sequel 5 year down the line!

"Very nice book giving a very different perspective on something we normally not get to hear about. Our horizons are so limited by our day to day lives that we wrap ourselves in our own tiny boxes. This book will widen anybody's horizons and expand their exposure to life and the various challenges it offers. Each story is unique but different at the same time.

The author has written briefly about each story, yet captured the details which matters and leaves the reader hooked to the book. I always love such kind of books."

Wonderfully written book of triumph of love & faith during trying Times
Each story packs in itself a bundle of emotions. The book wonderfully describes the sacrifices which young couples (some not so young but young at heart) undergo during the 1 yr when one of the spouses slogs day & night while the other keeps everything else going.
Some of the stories like those of Geet & Pari may make your eye's moist.
Overall the book is about the trust & faith in your life partner & above all the power of love.

Finally read ur book .. Bought it nearly a month back.
But when I started reading it today, I had to finish it at one go !!
All the stories were highly inspirational and with LOVE being the common theme , it is a welcome relief from our everyday mechanical lives.
We get so engrossed in our day-to-day lives that we rarely find time or appreciate our Loved Ones. This book just highlights how even in professional life, the Love and support of ur Loved ones is so essential.
Above all , it brings back the memories of our very own Joka !!
Awesome effort !!

It has been fascinating reading this book. It was a very quick read and less than a few hours, and i could not but stop without finishing it. I cannot do justice to applaud matching the author's inimitable style. Thoroughly engaging, simple yet deep – the book regales. The different stories are a true depiction of the MBA life for the executive MBA courses and a really novel idea to bring the untold stories that lie in the myriad of relationships. The stories, i am sure, will resonate with all executive management students.

Made for delightful reading. Thought-provoking and uplifting. It took me back to my own MBA days even though my story is perhaps not as engaging, certainly not as inspiring, as the ones featuring in the book. The book is sure to touch the lives of many, reminding them of what all they went through to reach where they are now. Very lucidly written too.Excellent composition of short memorable stories....all the best for your upcoming books.

When I first saw this book on Amazon, I thought it would be a book, written by a MBA aspirant. It must be a love story related to her life. But I was wrong. After reading a couple of reviews which I always do before picking a book, I found this book is an anthology, combined of 16 non-fictional love stories.
