Loving a Vampire

Rate this book
Finding love as a human is hard, but try being a vampire plagued with blood-lust—it’s impossible!

Augustus has been alone for a long time. Now all he wants is a woman to love and a friend to spend his time with. But after centuries of being alone and failing with the people he turns, Augustus loses hope.

When he stumbles on dying drug addict Gregory, Augustus cannot believe his luck. Their friendship builds over time as he keeps the human alive until Augustus would do anything for Gregory, including finding a woman for them to share.

No woman has ever become an obsession to him until he meets Marianna, whose beauty captures his attention … and Gregory’s.

Can these two humans satisfy one old vampire? And what happens when Augustus loses control and kills one of them? Will it be too late to change them, or will one of them turn their back on the blood-lust-filled immortal?

Loving a vampire is hard.

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

Interesting story with likeable characters held my attention right from the beginning. I was really enjoying it but sadly, the vampire thing didn't seem to be well thought-out (a few things were explained properly but the rest of them were kind of swept under the vampiric rug).

Meh. I didn't really enjoy it.

Augustus (vampire) has been looking for a companion for like 300 years. He finds Gregory (human) and uses his blood to save him. They're just friends. Augustus still wants a lady love to call his own.

He meets Marianna (virgin) at the coffee shop where she works. Yadda yadda yadda, he takes her home. It's pretty boring and I ended up skimming a lot.

My biggest issue was Augustus didn't even get to take her the first time. He just gave her to Gregory. They both shared her but to me it seemed like G was her primary and I didn't want that. I wanted her and Augustus to be together.

Anyway - it's meh.

Interesting. Very dry story IMO.

I can’t say I liked this book. It left me with too many questions to be satisfied. It was an interesting twist on the vampire ideology. The story ended while I felt it was unfinished. Not sure if there is going to be another part/book or not.

I liked the characters. I would have liked for some things to play out differently. It would have made the story more compelling and or darker but it was too lite and vanilla in a way. This book was very lacking but had so much potential. Smh.

I belong to you

I always love when this author goes PNR! She brings the heat and intensity of her contemporary works to a world of mystery and alpha males finding the perfect balance. I love the characters in this story! The sweet innocent and the jaded men who come together in a HEA that warmed my heart. This was a fantastic read and I hope the author brings us more like it.

I love to read books by this author because you are never sure what you will get. They are each exciting and the passion always melts the pages. This is one of the shortest’s books that I have read by this author.

Augustus is a vampire that has seen lots of things. He is 300 years old and I can’t say that I would survive after everything he has lived through. All he wants is a friend and a woman to love. For a vampire that can be hard to find. Seems that he suffers from blood lust and everyone he turns has the same problems. Until one day he hears someone screaming in his mind that he wants to live. He decides to help the human out and get his story. Seems that Gregory was a drug addict and was just after his next high. He never knew that this time would be the death of him.

Gregory has been friends with Augustus for five years. Augustus gives him blood everyday because it is how he survives. All Gregory wants to be is a vampire. He just can’t seem to get his point across and gets mad every time the subject is brought up. Everything changes one night when Augustus notices a waitress in a cafe and stops to see what is holding his attention so much.

Marianna is an innocent young woman and doesn’t know the dangers that are always around. Even her boss is a danger to her. She has noticed this same customer coming in every night and doesn’t know what to say to him. That night on the way home she is almost raped but gets a saving she never seen coming. She never knew that there really were vampires.

I will warn you that this is a great read but it is also a menage between M/F/M. The males have no feelings for each other that way. They just all three fall in love with each other. At first I didn’t know about this book because the author wrote differently and it took me a little to get used to it. Now I am glad that I took the time and read it. I usually read the series that she writes. I will warn you that there is also lots of sex in this book.

If none of these things bother you then you should really give this book a try. After I read this book I never wanted to be a vampire as much as I did when I finished this book. There is just something about a vampire that turns me on.

Augustus has been a vampire for three centuries. He feels alone and longs for love and companionship, both concepts unheard of among known vampires. He meets Gregory, a drug addict, dying and can't help the lure to save the man who is fighting for his life even as the drugs are killing him. But as often as Gregory has asked Augustus to turn him, the vampire won't do it. Then he meets a woman who changes everything. Augustus hasn't felt this way about a woman since his human wife and becomes obsessed with her. Together the three embark on a journey that will change their lives forever. A short story about friendship, love, lust and self-discovery.

This was not what I was expecting in such a good way. Augustus saved Gregory and they were really good friends. Augustus saved Marianna more than once and Gregory helped. These three went through a lot of emotions and had to trust each other with every thing they were dealing with. This was a great story.

Hm... beetje laf verhaaltje... de manier van schrijven sprak mij ook niet aan. Omdat het maar 150 blz was, toch maar uitgelezen. Absoluut een van de mindere boeken van Sam.
