French. Learn the Easy Way

Rate this book
Learning to speak French is not a daunting task. It should be a pleasurable effort and one that could bring you enormous rewards. One of the main reasons for which French is an easy language to learn is because it is well organised. This book is dedicated to help you construct the French language from building blocks that I will provide for you. It will also demonstrate how you can “train” your brain to speak French such as a toddler would, and how it is not necessary for you to attend any course to learn to speak the language.

The most fun you will have with learning French is perhaps when you speak to yourself. In fact, I recommend that you do so, on a regular basis. Getting used to the pronunciation of every word is one of the most important things that you can do when learning this language. Besides which, your brain needs to familiarize itself with the sounds of the French language. This “training” is a type of immersion, but one that you can do easily at home in your own time.

Therefore, this book will provide you with the guidelines and assistance that you will need to make your journey into the learning of the language a lot easier and much more effective.

I have perfected and used this self-immersion training system for over 20 years while tutoring English students of various ages in Canada and abroad.

It is a short and sweet book to brush up on your french, if you have studied it before. Has a fair amount of vocabulary necessary on your trip to a french speaking country(NOT Quebec!, that requires a different skill-set of eating up words)
That said, I would not recommend it for a new learner because the author changes gears pretty frequently.Any language for that matter, works better with audio, so that you can hear the native speakers yourself(just listening to your own voice would not be as helpful as the author points it out to be)

This is a free ebook available on Amazon for Prime members. It's different from most French (grammar) books used in French language classes because it encourages a speaking and immersion method as opposed to the more traditional method of writing, grammar, and controlled listening/writing/speaking environments.

Overall, I was surprised at how relevant the book was for someone in an immersion scenario. Many of the words, phrases, behaviors and customs truly do come up in daily life and it helped quite a bit to quickly assign some commonly heard phrases into their english translated counterparts. The book itself is a short read and gets down to the point. People in an immersion situation will likely find this useful, though I can't say much for those not in a French environment. I should also note that I studied french for a few years nearly a decade ago.
