Samantha Underwood is also known as Powder to those who grew up around her. Samantha was not given an easy life, she was born to two heroin addicted parents and had to live in the projects being the only white girl growing up in her neighborhood. She wanted a way out of her circumstances and realized she would have to fight hard to make that happen. She grew up being constantly bullied by the girls in her school and was tormented day in and day out. Until one day she knew she would have to stand her ground or things would get much worse for her. Powder finally takes a step in giving her own justice to those who have hurt her and promising to never allow anyone else to put her down like that. As we all know Karma has a funny way of making an appearance when everything seems to be calm.

Powder grow up struggling. Often without food or basic things she needed; even at a young age she had to do what she had to do to make simple ends. I love this authors style of writing because its fresh and unique. I enjoyed Powders story because its a bout a young woman who gets caught up, which is what basically happend. Even when she tries to wrong her rights and stay away from the negative it seems to find her. I did want more however like I would have liked to know hwy her friend turned on her, and what happened at the end I would like to know how they all got together for that to happen. Other than that I enjoyed it I just wanted a little more and there was a few minor editing issues. I will continue to support this author.

Samantha Underwood is not your usual white girl. She grew up in the hood and is the child of parent junkies. After getting picked on constantly in school she gains the friend of Nee Nee who gives her the nickname Powder and convinces her to stand up for herself. She realizes that she needs to stand up for herself in other areas of her life. This includes getting away from her parents and living her life without struggling or wanting for anything. In order to do this she knows that she must find a "sponsor". On her way to living the life of she dreams off she has to step on some people, cross some people, and do some major scheming. She learns that karma has no color and comes after whoever it chooses.

Like all Blaque books this one kept me very interested and amused. There were parts that had me very irritated with Powder for being extremely stupid. There were also parts that left me feeling bad for Powder because she only wanted was to no longer be "those junkies" daughter. Blaque didn't let me down with the killing in this book. She shows that she is truly talented and creative as each story is different from the next. There was one thing that really bothered me with this book and that is the mix-up of a characters name in one part of the book. However, I did talk to the author about this and it has been addressed. I will be looking forward to the next book by Blaque.

Powder by BlaQue is an excellent read.

Samantha Underwood, known as Powder was born to heroin addicted parents. Growing up as the only white girl in the ghetto, Powder has nothing but heart aches. Powder is tormented beyond her limits. Powder meets Shaunie who helps her stand up and take control.

As Powder takes control and become stronger in her life, her worst nightmares begins.

The story line was very good and will keep your interest. Once I thought I knew what was going to happen next, it didn't. The story will have you anxious wanting to know what will happen next.

The characters were well developed. I love the book cover, it fits perfectly with the story line.

I did not expect the ending to be the way it was, caught me off guard. Very good

I highly recommend this book.

Thank you Author BlaQue for another well written book.

Powder was good read that start off slow but before you know it will have drawn you into the world of Samantha A.K.A . Powder. This story opens you eyes to a girl that was willing to do anything to get what she wants in life, and to get out of the life that it was use to. Powder was not your typical white girl, she had survival skills out of this world. The ups and downs in this story left my mouth wide open and wondering what the hell was going to happen next. I felt her pain growing up in the situation that she was in. The was a lot of Betrayal, secrets and murder in this book. Powder when this story end understood what Karma is a Bitch truly meant.

This was a good read. There was a small mix up with one of the characters, and for a short minute it was moving kinda slow, but none of this took away from the story. BlaQue came hard with her page turning twisted drama! I loved it! I can't get enough her wrenched tales. Opening her next release now!

Other than the error of a name mix up towards the end,it was a good read. Samantha aka Powder was up against it from the beginning. I never thought it would end the way it did.

Powder wasn't a bad read at all. It was very interesting to read about an only white girl growing up in the "hood" and having heroine addicted parents. the main character, Samantha had a very rough life and it somewhat took a toll on her until she learned to fight back and handle herself when it mattered most.

She did a lot of stupid things throughout the book that annoyed me. Lol I wanted to choke her, but then I had to remember that I was reading a book.

I felt like some of the book was predictable though, I knew certain things was going to happen because She kept pushing her luck with the dumb s*** she was doing.

The story had no warmth to it. I didn't have a connection nor did it make me visualize the story taking place.
