Johnny Stone decided to move his drug dealing operation to Prayer Tabernacle because the police would not look for him at a church. But the police do know where Johnny, aka Rock, moved. They want to put an undercover team in the church's congregation to gather evidence to put Rock away.

Detective Sonja Grey is disgusted that someone has the nerve to sell drugs at her church. Because of her membership with the church, Sonja was picked for the undercover assignment, along with Max Trent.

Sonja does not have any family but she does have a surrogate family through the church, including two old ladies dubbed the Aunties. The Aunties are in everyone's business. They know all and will do anything and everything to make sure things are done the right way or they will make it that way.

The Aunties have noticed Rock and decided to take him under their wing. Get some God in him. The more the Aunties drag Rock to service, the more frustrated he gets. And so do Sonja and Max. They are afraid the Aunties will scare Rock away before they have a chance to gather enough information to make an arrest.

I GIVE THIS BOOK: 4 Stars

I was a bit disappointed with this book, especially compared to the caliber of books available for review through BookSneeze.com.

Everything in this book came too easy. It sends the message, at least in my opinion, that if you are a good Christian then you get what you want. That is not a message that should be sent. There are a lot of devout Christians who have a tough life. This book wraps everything with a big red bow and I do not like that. Not with this type of story line.

I also do not like the title of this book, based on the story. I know that it is really a metaphor for how Rock's life has been like. At least I hope that it is deeper than just where Rock ends up.

Where is the talent of the author at describing things? What does Max look like? A specific celebrity. Where is the talent of descriptive writing?

If you like a stereotypical book wrapped up with a bow, then this book is for you. If you would like a little more of a challenge in the story that you read...move on.

Until next time, live life one page at a time!
