On the Edge of Time, Part Two

Rate this book
On the Edge of Time involves the human heart's earnest search for heaven in the midst of Hell come to Earth. It is two weeks after millions of people have mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth, and, like millions of others, Jerry Westfield, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, is upset and perplexed at that loss, particularly since it took his best friends, Jeremy and Kathy Palmer. His personal concerns must be set aside, however, when the international situation frantically signals the immanent destruction of the state of Israel. It is there that Jerry is sent to cover the story of his journalistic career and is reunited with Jacob Klausman, a 'retired' member of the 'Mossad, ' Israel's secret service. It is also there that he will meet with a cataclysmic series of monsters and miracles, including Ruth, the woman who will change his mind about marriage, and the charismatic Demetrius Strapollos, who soon is hailed as the 'Messiah' who will rescue Israel and restore her former glory. This quick-moving tale of suspense and power on a cosmic scale is intricately detailed and researched, providing the reader with insights into international politics, Biblical prophecy, the darkness of the human heart, and the challenge of faith in the face of disillusionment and pain. As current as this morning's newspaper, this book will challenge the reader's belief system, introduce him or her to the intricate world of international intrigue, and insure that the reader will never look at the Mid-East situation in quite the same light ever again.

A frequent lecturer in Biblical Prophecy, Russ brings a lifetime of technical expertise to a story he believes may very well be the substance of tomorrow's headlines. "On the Edge of Time" began in 1994 as a 50-page short story named for the newspaper the protagonist writes for, "Chronicles of the End Times."
After a few years, Russ resumed writing with Steve Mamchak and ultimately split the completed novel "On the Edge of Time" into two captivating parts.

Russ's new series HIDDEN THRONES is
an exciting thriller pitting demons and angels in a battle for control of planet earth.

In the 1960's and 70's, Russ Scalzo was the front man for The Hallmarks, a band popular along the Jersey Shore, and scored a record contract with Mercury Records. After a life changing decision, he went from performing in bars to ministering in churches and touring the country with his band, Saved By Grace. He has written too many songs to count, including music for several original musicals. He is the co-founder and president of a non-profit Christian theater company based in New Jersey, Lighthouse Stage Productions.

Russ currently serves as a teacher and elder at Searchlight Church. He resides on the Jersey Shore with his wife of 40+ years. He is a father of three and grandfather of five.

I loved this book, enthralling tale of the tribulation and final deliverance

Well written, engaging characters that pull you in to root for them from the first page, both good guys and bad guys are human and believable. Heart thumping action and tension as you root for characters to realize what's happening and come to the Lord. Small spoiler, even some of the bad guys smarten up and change sides so you never know whose going to end up where and how which keeps the tension going. One of the most satisfying rapture/trib series I have ever read, I have read the whole series twice and will probably read it a third time eventually, it's that good. Not fancy writing, a few rough edges but still incredibly enjoyable no matter your level of biblical knowledge. Go ahead, read and enjoy.

Amazing series!

This series was an amazing read I could not put down. As a Christian I love all the Bible verses and references. Everything this series talks about, including all the supernatural things, the hatred towards Christians and Jews, and so much more are talked about in the Bible as things that will transpire. My only disappointment was the fact that the 7th book was not available. Hopefully it will be available at some later time. I highly recommend this series. Also, this is being posted under my wife’s name, but her husband Steve is the one who read the series and posted this!

Was wanting more!

Although this book was very long, I wanted more. I really enjoyed this book and it helped provoke my imagination about the end times. The ending of the book seems like it sets up for a possible third in the series. I’m hopeful since not much is written about the ThousandYear Reign.
I like it kk forward to this authors next works whatever it might be. I enjoy his style and characters.
Great job!

In the edge and out of time!

This book was amazing. It spoke a lot about the war that took place before the coming of Jesus and the Evil minds behind war. Yet it also spoke about love and hope we hold onto. I wished to myself that The messiah would just come already! That's what kept me reading. The book and series is a good investment if you want to learn about the end times. I loved them all!

Amazingly awesome! God is the Alpha and Omega. To him be all praise honor, glory majesty and power forever Amen.

God is not dead! He lives and reigns. He will fight for us and deliver us by his mighty right hand if righteousness. This book reaffirmed my belief in The King of Glory, the only wise and living God !

Fantastic Series!!!

Love love love this entire series! I could not get enough of it! The only small issues were misspelled words or typos which I submitted for correction, but they did not distract me from enjoying the series. I highly recommend all 9 books! You won't regret it! God Bless!

Well written

Great biblical references. The characters were brought to life and I journeyed with them through the Tribulation. The writers gave a sense of brotherhood with the Jewish nation.

Amazing

As accurate and true as the story can be when backed up by literal scripture and mysterious scripture. So well written and so exciting and most of all faith building. I can’t wait to see what else is out there by this author that I haven’t read.

What a great interpretation of the end times according to the Bible. It certainly brings the bible to life and offers a better than reasonable interpretation. I thoroughly enjoyed these books.

Excellent end times book.

I really enjoyed this book. It shows the power of Jesus and his faithfulness. It represents difficulties of the end times. It clearly shows how many will choose comfort over faithfulness. In the end Jesus reigns victorious and the faithful are rewarded.

Good characters. Good story flow. Not too interested in all of the battle details. Nice to read scripture and meaning.

A moment in time of Christ's return and the face of evil!

Story is one of dread and hope for a view of the last days. The characters whether mortal or spirit are believable and keep your attention. There are characters enough to hate fear and love. This is a book with many lessons to be learned as well as thoughts to ponder. So much good and evil in one book, very hard to put down.

Well Worth the Read!

Relatable characters that kept my interest, struggling through the horrors of a world collapsing under the weight of spiritual and physical evil. Fear and courage, despair and triumph, sorrow and joy drive them to either succumb to evil or triumph over it's grip on humanity. The epic battle of Armageddon is described vividly and at times leaving me nearly breathless from the tension. Well worth the read!

Can't Wait.

The characters and sub plot made the journey through the story of the second coming very intriguing!
Two books to get through it was satisfying. I like a book series that involves the reader for a longer period of time.

Another hit!

I have so enjoyed both parts of this book. Found it was hard to stop reading. The characters are so real and the feelings they speak about are what I would hope to share in their place. Do yourself a favor and read parts one and two. Enjoy!

Good... But...

Good story line but way too many grammatical errors. Needed much better editing. Follows biblical prophecy which makes it worth reading. Even with its faults I recommend it.
