Las vacaciones de Roberta written by Silvia Francia is a book from Spain. I obtained this book from my district. Roberta, a dog, is on vacation at his grandparent's house. He is so bored because he has no one to play with. When he looks out the window, he finds that he is staying at a beach house! He decides to leave and explore the beach, until he meets Grorex, another dog whose shiny teeth scare Roberta away. Grorex and Roberta mind their own business until Grorex drowns in the water! Robera comes to the rescue.

This book is a good read aloud for primary students because it clearly has a problem and solution. It is also a great conversation starter on friendship.

Quería pensar un poco en mi pasado y sentir algo de nostalgia por mi buena infancia. Este es uno de los cuentos que más recuerdo de aquella época.

My only beef with this book is that the dog disobeys her grandfather and runs away to the beach while he's sleeping -- and there's no consequence. It's not exactly what I want my preschooler to learn. Otherwise, it's a great story about how people/dogs aren't always what they seem.
