HOLY HOT DAMN! I really loved this fast paced short story. Wow + Gabe = DOUBLE WOW with a side of SEXY-AS-SIN.
What I loved about this book:
1. Free Bird- That bird cracked me up.
2. Gabe- damn this guy is sexy as all get out. He was a little bit Alpha but in a way I like.(Not crazy or over-the-top)
3. The book made me laugh.
4. The book left me with smile on my face a good portion of it.
5. I was able to feel heavy emotion for Stevie after what Max did to her.
6. Fast paced story line.
7. Short story that can be read in about 30 mins give or take.
8. Held my attention the whole way through.
9. Basically, I thought this book did all the things I needed it to do for a very short read and met my needs at this time in my reading funk.
Stevie has been dating Max for a year. Trouble has been brewing for awhile in this semi paradise of theirs. Finally it all comes to a head and she falls to pieces. Her best friend, Tia, tries to help her and offers her solutions. Stevie decides to take control back of her life, since Max took it all away, and decides to start on a plan to get her "sexy back." She meets Gabe at a hotel bar and she puts her plan in to 5th gear and takes off with it. Of course, Gabe, is all too willing to help with this plan.
The way Gabe is and what he says definitely makes you FEEL it like you are actually there with him.
I can't wait to see what this "Club" is and I sure as all get out can't wait for the next installment on August 22nd.

Well let me start by saying this review might be on the short side, because this book is Part 1 to a 4 part mini series. This installment is only 42 pages long, so it only took me like 45 mins to read. With that said....This installment was a great start to the mini series. This first book sets up the main premise of the whole story. Stevie and her boyfriend of a year hit a rough patch in their relationship and she moves out. In the mean time she reads an article about how to get her sexy back. That article leads her to a hotel bar and meeting Gabe. Things heat up from there. Stevie has created a list of things she wants to do to improve her situation, well this is where Gabe comes in....He is willing to help her with the list. What happens after their first meeting is so HOT...you will need to read it yourself to get the true pleasure of the scene.
I didn't label this as a cliff hanger ending because she didn't end it on a cliffhanger. She ended at the end of the scene, which to me makes it more of a to be continued ending. I will say with the little bit I have read already, I can't wait to read the second installment. I want to know what the club he is taking her to is like ;) I have to say that even in the short installment, what we see of Gabe was great....he has some serious potential of making my bbf list. I liked Stevie except for the fact that she takes the blame for Max's (her boyfriend) behavior. It's kind of good because she is trying to improve herself but in the end it's to make Max come back. I am really hoping in the end she blows Max off and sticks with Gabe.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and steamy read. If you don't like small tastes of a book, then I would say wait until all 4 installments are out and read them all together. The author says it should be complete by September.

Great little bedtime scorchio read.
Stevie Sinclair finds herself in a funk..she had all that she apparently wanted but it wasn't quite right. Her relationship with her boyfriend was ok until she found out he was having an affair. Devastated, this forces her realisation that she needs to step up, and comes across a mag article "6 easy steps to get your sexy back". Armed with this new, vital info, she takes herself away to a hotel for a weekend with the intention of playing this out.
Stevie meets a handsome, single suitor, Gabe, who appears keen to assist her with her adventure.
The story was humourous, descriptive and captivating. Gabe's introduction was delicious and I was squirming my way through the pages when it stopped..& I guess that's the hook.

That was super short and pretty damn hot!
Stevie's relationship with her boyfriend Max just fell apart, instead of spending another night at home crying, Stevie decides its time to make a change. With some help from Cosmo magazine Stevie sets out to find all the different sides of herself. In walks Gabe, very sexy and very willing to help Stevie find that sexual side of herself and oh does he!! I'm so ready for part 2 of The Club. I need more sexy Gabe.

Noooooo! Seriously Clare James, you did not just do that to me!
Reading this book is like giving me a box of chocolates. You think to yourself 'how nice'. Then you get around to trying one and it is so decadent and sensual .... But wait....what? I have to wait before I can have any more....damn! I could so easily eat the whole lot. A taste just isn't enough. Not now that I know what I am missing.
To be fair I knew this was part of a series. And maybe, Ms James, you are doing me a favour by keeping it short and....well I was going to say sweet, but short and smokin' hot would be more accurate. I am sure I would have stayed up well past a decent hour reading more. But now I have the problem of having to stalk your author page to see when I can expect the next part to this series. Never mind, I will just add it to my growing list of obsessive book behaviours. I can't decide if stalking updates in the hope of early release is second to 1-Click buying or vice versa. So no pressure Clare James - you are not responsible for my OBB (obsessive book behaviours), just contributing to it.
On that note, I was given this book in return for an honest review, so on with it then.
Stevie is doing her best to have a 'grown-up' relationship with her boyfriend Max. Things are just about perfect but not quite. Stevie loves Max and is prepared to work on things. If only Max had the same idea.
In an effort to find her sexual mojo, Stevie decides to take the advice of a magazine article and implement "Operation: Get My Sexy Back". Lucky for Stevie, she just might find the perfect man to put this plan into action. Enter stage right: Gabe.
What a great start to this series. This is fun, actually it is a lot of fun. Also you can expect a some serious steam as you burn through the pages. Finally, this is the type of book I won't have any trouble remembering between instalments, as Gabe is certainly memorable.

Whoa… I think I just fell in love with a story in under 50 pages!
The Club is the first part of a mini-series that follows 24 year-old Stevie Sinclair’s efforts to get her “sexy back”. This was a very fast read but I loved the way the characters were developed. Stevie is blind-sided by a break-up with her seemingly perfect boyfriend and really haven’t we all been there at one point or another… right? Anyone? Ok, so even though it only took a few pages to describe the relationship and break-up, I totally felt for her. I loved being in Stevie’s head. She was hilarious, self-deprecating, and completely relatable. It didn’t take long for me to get in her corner and cheer her on.
Stevie’s real journey begins after she finds that "how-to" article and decides to do whatever it takes to get herex back sexy back. This takes us to Gabe Shannon… Oh, crazy-hot Gabe... After meeting Stevie and hearing about her situation, he volunteers to help her out. And yes, that's what they call it nowadays. ;-) Things get very hot and steamy with these two but maybe not exactly the way you would expect… Let me just say you will not be disappointed!
This was a very sexy, funny story with great characters and I can’t wait for the next part of this series!

What can I say? Clare James is becoming a go-to author for me. This is only my second ever serial series, and I have to admit that I really like them. For those of you (like me) that are crunched for time because of work, family, kids, etc., and still love (when you have the time) to sit down to a great story, this is the series for you! I devoured it in less than an hour! The Club really starts the series off with a bang--I am already a huge fan of Gabe and Stevie is heroine you can really root for. I'm a HUGE fan of some steamy scenes, and this book does not disappoint. Not sure where this series is going, but I am HOOKED and can't wait for the next installment. I'm wondering where this series will go and what (if anything) a club has to do with it??

First things first, I devoured this short in a matter of 20 minutes! I could not peel my eyes away from it! All I have to say is it was a fun, sexy, and scorching hot read!! Clare James, you have a way with words lady!
The storyline of this book is perfect. Stevie, our main character, gets cheated on by her at the time idiot boyfriend and decides to consult Cosmo about her break-up. ( I loved this aspect by the way! ) She winds up having a stay-cation at a local hotel and meeting the hot ass Gabe who literally takes her breath away. Ah-mazing!
Overall, this short was phenomenal! There have been times where I’ve read a short and couldn’t take the minimal storyline but Clare James wrote it like a champ!
I NEED TO KNOW where Gabe takes Stevie next on her journey of bringing sexy back! Can't wait to read Part 2!

The Club is a quick fun read. If you're short on time, but looking for a quick romp, this is a good one. Stevie and Gabe sure know how to bring the heat. I can't wait to see what he pulls out in the next book. Need #2 Now!

T.E.A.S.E. WOW. Clare really wasn't joking when she said this is way steamier than her other work! Ladies...I have a feeling this this is going to be a series your men will want you to read...and then re-read! I just read under 40 pages of absolute hotness and can't wait for more!

In this first part of this mini series we are introduced to Stevie, your 24 year old average girl, who just found out that her boyfriend Max is cheating on her. After he leaves for his business trip pretty nonchalant about being caught cheating and their break up she wallows for a bit but then an article in COSMO catches her eye... "How I Got My Sexy Back In Six Easy Steps"
Knowing that her Sexy has long departed Stevie gathers her things from their apartment --and maybe some that don't technically belong to her and takes off to get her sexy and herself back. Checking into a hotel, and armed with her notebook and Cosmo article she makes her way to the hotel bar to put her plan into motion....
Enter Gabe Shannon. Mysterious, sexy, confident, and completely different than Max, Gabe and Stevie hit it off over drinks and when the alcohol induced chattering takes over Stevie reveals the real reason she is there and shows Gabe the article. This is where only a brief intro to Gabe makes me like him right away
"You mean to tell me that he cheats on you and you think you're the one who needs to make some changes? Come on Stevie. I know we just met, but you seem smarter than that"
"I am. This is not for him it's for me"
"Ah" he says, his eyes twinkling with mischief
And away we GO! I'm not saying anything else except this series is going to be Scorching H.O.T. Humor and pure sexual sin combined with a witty heroine and a hero that has after less than 40 pages made an everlasting impression in more ways than one has left me saying only one thing. I can't wait for the rest of this mini-series and the sexcapades of Stevie and Gabe!

Stevie Sinclair just got dumped. She has been with her boyfriend for a year and this is probably her longest relationship. She looses her apartment at the same time.
With no where to go she decides to stay at a hotel. Here she meets Gabe Shannon and things will change for her.
This is a serial. You will read this story in less than 1 hour. We get to experience Stevie's self pity party and later on her desire recover from this.
I like the introduction of Gabe. This is what Stevie needs. Gabe seems all alpha male. I will definitely read the next one.
I love Clare's Before You Go series.

Thankfully I have a totally awesome friend who let me borrow her kindle so I could read this since it's not available on any other site..
This book is super short, it took me 20 mins to read. It sets the story up for part two fairly well, you get to the juicy part just at the end. I'll have to read the second book to get a better feel for the characters and story. I'm not a super fan of Stevie's just yet. Hopefully she grows on me.

I enjoyed this short story. I'm curious as to where it will go. Sexy short stories are always good in between full length novels and help book hangovers. haha

Really short. Free read. I like the voice of Stevie, but it ends before it really begins and I can't seem to find the sequel anywhere... :Z

Honestly this was more like a epilogue or something but it wasn't horrible. Just very unfinished
