WEEKLY CHRISTMAS READ FOR DECEMBER
Oh my. THE NUTCRACKER, THE VELVETEEN RABBIT, and THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS all in one volume. It's almost too much for adult and child, a treasure trove of fantastic colorful drawings, each expressing in picture the true meaning of the holidays. I can't even decide which were my favorite Daily illustrations...the enraged Mouse King, or the Rabbit, or the Dancing Pigs ("nine ladies dancing").
In my family, we celebrate Sinterklaas on December 6th, which means oranges and chocolates and pastries and books. That's a good date to start reading this to your little one (or even to yourself) and treasuring the ability of an artist to bring text to life. It's really very magical.

This has the Nutcracker, The Velveteen Rabbit and the 12 Days of Christmas in it. The illustrations are beatiful.
