Resorting to any means of punishment for those who would betray his countrymen, highlander Dallas MacDonald kidnaps Isobel MacDougall when she disagrees with her clan's allegiance to England, and finds in her a spirit that matches his own. Original.
I really enjoyed reading some of my older work. Dark Dreams reminded me of how to plot. But this story reminded me of the good work that Virginia Brown and I could do under extreme circumstances and how good a historical this book really is. Dallas won the KISS AWARD at Romantic Times and was really a good hero. I personally had to revise this book because the editor thought it was too violent and bloody for the romance market, something I had to do with Dark Dreams, too. I had to sanitized Dark Dreams and this book to get them published. Laughing. Virginia went on to write some great historical romances set in Scotland and England in which she used history so well. But this is where we learned how to do that. I am very proud of this book and Dark Dreams, for I learned so much about writing and publishing in the process, which led to better things.
