The MacDonalds are coming! When Elizabeth MacDonald (a.k.a Beezus Mac) thrusts a sealed gold box at Angus Fergus amid panicked requests for him to hide the stolen artifact, she has no idea the ancient cloth it contains bestows unearthly powers. Red MacDonald knows and he's hell-bent on traveling 400 years into the future to claim the charmed relic, even kill for it.
Protecting Beezus from his old nemesis is only one of Fergus's problems. Before they can stop him, Morley MacDonald, descendant of Red MacDonald, snatches the prize and leaps through the time portal to head the MacDonald clan and kill Fergus's MacKenzie ancestor. If he succeeds, Fergus will cease to exist.
Danger grows in the feud between the MacDonalds and the MacKenzies as the pair, along with an ingenious friend and high tech inventions, returns to 1604 Scotland to face these brawny Highlanders and reunite with kin. Will Fergus overcome his mistrust of Beezus and fan the growing spark between them before they battle Morley? If he waits, it may be too late.
Married to my high school sweetheart, I live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my human family and furbabies. An avid gardener, I grow herbs and heirloom flowers and use them in my stories. The rich history of Virginia, the Native Americans (especially the Shawnee), and the Scots-Irish are at the heart of my inspiration. My English, Scottish, and Scots-Irish ancestors were among the earliest settlers in America. I write historical romance set in the colonial frontier, the American Revolution, Georgian England, and 20th century America. I like a good ghost story, so some of my historical romances have paranormal and ghosts in them. In addition to historical romance and Native American/Western romance, I write time travel romance (some are Scottish time travels), Young Adult wolf shapeshifter paranormal sci-fi fantasy romance, New Adult fantasy paranormal time slip romance back and forth to the American Revolution, the Civil War, and World War 1… I also have nonfiction about gardening, herbs, and country life.
I really enjoyed Fergus and Beezus’ characters and their journey through time. And we also got to catch up on Niall and Mora two years later. So very interesting storyline and I appreciated the development of the characters within that storyline. My biggest complaint would be that they just seem to end suddenly! I get the things are kind of a series but an epilogue would be nice just to kind of bring it together a little bit better. One I would definitely want to reread again.
Fergus and Beezus have to travel back in time to stop a crazy relative who plans to kill Fergus 's ancestor making Fergus poof! Never acisist. Absolutely loved all the geeky reference. Can't wait to read the next book.

I have not read any other books in this series as of yet. It is readable if you have not read the series but I can tell you, it would have been better if I did read 1-3 first. The main character Fergus is an in training Jedi. If you like Star Wars you will get a kick out of reading the book with star wars stuff and sayings in here. I did find this to be a quick read; I wish it would have been a bit longer though. I really did like the characters in here but would have loved more info on each character. I am thinking I would get a better vibe if I had read the whole series. It was a good read and I do want to pick up the next book and see what happens next. I was given this book to read and give an honest review. This review is my honest opinion and I have fully read this book.
Another truly wonderful action packed highland time travel book. While this one wasn't near as long as the last, it still was a great fast paced read. Although, the ending in this book was a wee bit vague. Hopefully, the next book in the series will unravel all the plot twists and mysteries from prior books.
Between Fergus's rendition of a Jedi knight and Indiana Jones with sidekicks Beejus Mac and Hal we are kept laughing! We are left with a cliffhanger ending of what happens with Calum! I can't wait for the next book!
