This book started out promising but there was not enough that actually happened to keep my interest. I kept waiting for the speed to pick up but sadly, it never really did.

One of the lead characters, Morghan, is the prince of an underwater realm that is facing an unknown danger. Together with a childhood friend, Coralie, they spend the majority of the book researching what this danger is in the horizon and how to defeat it to save their species. Their closeness to danger and proximity reveals their true feelings for one another but their romance seems flat and takes a back seat to the upcoming battle that they seem to know will happen.

The story and imagination of the author are great, I just would have liked to see more of Morghan and Coralie working together rather than separately. The pieces just never really fit together for me despite the potential of the story line.
