I'm living proof that harnessing talents like staring out the window and watching TV can be put to use for the good (or at least the entertainment) of humankind.
Fifty percent of my childhood was spent staring out a classroom window, wondering what was going on "out there." I daydreamed about interesting places, fascinating people and exciting adventures.
As a reluctant and struggling young reader, my hunger for stories was fed mostly by TV and movies. I still haven't read all the classics (I promise I will eventually). PRIDE AND PREJUDICE wasn't on my reading list as a kid. But I distinctly remember going to the drive-in movies with my dad and little brother and seeing SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT for the first time! I wanted to LIVE in a world where a Trans Am really could jump a creek from a collapsed bridge and keep tooling down a dirt road away from the county mounties.
In high school, though, I was lucky enough to be inspired by a dedicated teacher to read and connect to the arts and humanities. It opened up a world that I might otherwise never have known. I went on to study art and anthropology/archaeology in New Mexico and Minnesota and traveled throughout the lower-48, Western Canada and Alaska. My jobs have included: archaeological illustrator; art gallery manager; motion picture/TV/indy film crew, writer, director and actor; waiter; maitre d; pool boy; slime line worker (people who've worked in an Alaskan fishery know what this is).
While working at an ad agency, I started writing my first book - a political thriller - because I needed to express my passion for stories but couldn't afford to go to film school. It stuck. I found that story is always lurking just below the surface of my conscious mind, so writing fiction comes very naturally to me. I got a contract to write action/adventure books for young readers and found it so easy and fun to write to my 12-year-old self (ref: "reluctant and struggling reader" above).
So I write for young readers and grown ups alike - short stories, novels, chapter books, graphic novels. I still love daydreaming about interesting places, fascinating people and exciting adventures. But window gazing has gotten even better - because today I get to share my daydreams with you. Enjoy!

In his YA series, The Delphi Trilogy, Chris Everheart has slowly introduced readers to a global conspiracy called the League of Delphi; a secret order which has evolved from the original Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece into a worldwide organization with its webs spun around the world. One of the centers for this elite group being located in the idyllic town of Arcanville, U.S.A.; a city copied directly from a Thomas Kinkade painting.

But as we all know, looks can be deceiving, and no one realizes this more than sixteen year old Zachary White, who returns to his childhood home after nine years spent in French boarding schools under an assumed name. The weirdness of his life having built up in Zach a determination to discover the why of his strange life, and so he walks into Arcanville a loner, taking a job at the local coffee house, and begins his own private investigation into the wrongness of his old home.

Through books one and two of the series, Zach’s detective-like crusade has slowly but surely led him to uncover the horrible plot of the League of Delphi. And along the way, he has discovered things about his past and his present that he never would have imagined possible: seemingly normal people involved in sinister research at the local university, hidden records stretching back thousands of years, his own families involvement in all of it, and the central role the girl he loves plays in all the League’s plans.

Yes, Zach is a young man way over his head as this book begins. Someone who has trusted the wrong people, found himself betrayed, and yet is determined not to give up. He can’t, because the League’s plans are about to come to fruition and destroy people he loves. And so the stage is set for The Delphi Revelation.

Now, as most of my friends already know, YA novels and I do not usually mix. Blame it on my age, or my pessimistic adult nature, or whatever, but the fact is I generally find their youthful point of view naive at best and laughable at worst. (The only exception to this being Percy Jackson. I can’t help but love that kid. He reminds me of my own twelve year old son, I guess.) No matter my preconceived dislike of YA, however, Mr. Everheart’s Delphi Trilogy really sucked me in, made me turn the pages, and got me excited when the next installment arrived. It is, without a doubt, a story that entertains despite its youthful voice, despite its characters’ naivety, and despite their clueless decision-making, because Mr. Everheart uses all those perceived failing to make these some of the most normal teenagers I could imagine. And with The Delphi Revelation, he takes these normal teenagers, sends them into some dangerous situation and does a fitting job of wrapping up this part of Zach’s story, seamlessly resolving all the dangling plots, unveiling a surprise or two along the way, and leaving a reader wanting to hear the next chapter of Zach’s story – because we all know the League of Delphi won’t give up too easily.

So if you love YA or would just like to give it a try, pick this trilogy up. It is well worth a read.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. I’d like to thank Netgalley for allowing me to receive this review copy and inform everyone that the review you have read is my opinion alone.

This was a pretty great completion of the trilogy, action packed and exciting. It tied up all the loose ends and finishing it off nicely.

The main character is again Zach and in this book he is faced with the uncovering of all the secrets and lies in the conspiracy theory of the previous books. He thinks Ashley and Katie are gone and fears that he is along but just like in the rest of the books all is not as it seems and Zach has more allies than he thought he had.

There are a lot of secondary characters in this book but I didn't particularly like any of them and I was pleased that the book focused so much on Zach and the many previously unanswered questions.

The storyline was excellently tied to the other books in the series ending the whole series on a high note. The pacing was also great keeping readers interested until the very last page. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am a little sad to see the back of it but I am by no means disappointed by the final book.

4 stars, I will definately look into reading more books by this author

Wow - this was one action-packed finale to this addictive trilogy! If you read the previous books, then you know there are oodles of secrets and mysteries still lurking, and all of those are revealed in this last book of the series.

Zach/Joshua was captured at the end of the last book and you can imagine what the league has been subjecting him to in the time between books. He believes Ashley is long gone, Katie has betrayed him, and there's no help coming. As with just about everything else in this series - things are not as they seem. There are even more allies than he knows lurking around in this sleepy town. Just when you think you know everyone's motivations and which side they're on, things keep changing.

Of course, Zach/Joshua escapes, finding all his allies, but finding even more problems coming his way. For a single boy, he sure has attracted a lot of trouble. His Dad isn't the man he thought he was, Katie isn't such a horrible person anymore, and Ashley is back by his side. The pacing and writing style made reading this book like watching an action flick. I couldn't put the book down! I'm sad that this is the end of this series, but very happy with the way it ended. All my questions have been answered (and even questions I didn't know I should have were answered!) and we even get a nice HEA. Sure, it's not perfect and pretty, but it's the ending that this town and story deserve.

The third and final book in the Delphi series answers a lot of questions that the other books left with the readers. Not only does it contain even more information about this town and this league- it is action packed. There is never a dull moment in the world that the Delphi league seems to run with ease…at least until Zach stepped back into their lives.

The lines between friend and foe become even harder to discern as Zach, Ashley and Katie dive deeper into the murky water. When the novel starts off Zach is sure that he is about to die, that Katie is long gone from his life, and that Ashley is forever out of his reach. The group working against the Delphi are finally revealed but Zach finds reasons to not trust anyone as always. There are constant twists and turns where the author leads you one way and then bang! What you believed isn’t what the truth is.

This book did a good job of adding in the retelling without making it annoying or overwhelming for a reader who has recently read the other two books. This book will not disappoint!

This review was longer at one point but my computer decided to reconfigure and destroy it all. And now I just can’t remember everything I said!

This book was given to me by the Publishers on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Full disclaimer mode: I did not read the first two books. I had nothing against them. I just had no clue they existed.
Even without having read the first two books (which I plan to read now to get the full enjoyment out of this one), I was able to understand a good deal of what was happening in the Delphi Revelation. It was action packed and very exciting! I was able to get invested in the main character (Zach) and his cookie cutter perfect town (Arcanville). At the beginning, Zach is beat down. He believes everyone he loves is either dead or has betrayed him. However, he finds out this is not true and they all try to escape the oppressive, mind controlling Delphi League.
Zach's struggle to save those he loves is heart-felt and the plans to do so are realistic. The pace of the novel is fast - no skipping pages or boring parts here! It seems as though the story gives a satisfactory ending. However, it will leave you wondering if the Delphi have really given up or if another book is in the works. (I realize it is a trilogy...but it just doesn't seem like it could really be the end.)

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Considering I read all three books in the trilogy in one day, I thought this was a pretty good series! The final book in the Delphi series wraps up a lot of loose ends and will leave readers fairly satisfied, but before that happens, there is a lot more that Zach has to discover about the Delphi Society. Enemies and allies blur as Zach is forced to once again decide if his conscience will allow him to leave without a trace or force him to uncover the root of destruction he hadn't even known was related to the society. The action is well paced and, while the big reveal is rather easy to anticipate, many of the smaller twists managed to surprise me. If you enjoyed the first two books, you won't be disappointed by the third. I'm convinced that my high school readers, particularly my guys, will enjoy this trilogy, and it has been added to my classroom library wish list. Language and situations are appropriate for all ages, but interest will be grades 9+.

The Delphi Revelation: Book III of the Delphi Trilogy by Christ Everheart is the book that ties everything up for the trilogy. Zach and friends are still looking for answers. The tension is now racing to an explosive ending. Zach and his friends are using their knowledge of the tunnels under the town hoping to escape the League of Delphi. It would make a great gift for anyone. It would make a good addition to your bookshelf too. I recommend this to everyone. I look for more by Chris Everheart.

Good ending

Clear concise ending, with possibility for future installments. Overall good book. Interesting take on government societies, with a rushed love story as well.

This is the thrilling conclusion to the Delphi Trilogy. This book was extremely hard to put down and so much was revealed that it was a little hard to keep it all straight. This is definitely a series that I will have to read again from the beginning to try and catch all the clues that I missed on the first read through. Highly recommended series for readers of all ages, especially if you like mystery/conspiracy stories!

The tension is racheted up as book 3 of Chris Everheart's Delphi Trilogy races to an explosive conclusion.

Using the knowledge of the tunnels beneath e town, Zach and his friends have a slim hope to escape the League. Ashley's visions come more frequently, even without medications.

IF YOU READ ANY OF THE DELPHI BOOKS... You WONT WANT TO MISS THIS!!!

Solid finale to the trilogy - quite a few twists I absolutely did not expect, immensely suspenseful and exciting. Really, really enjoyed it. I was disappointed though because I had hoped we would finally get some more greek mythology related things in this book, but there still wasn't much.
