Taking a Chance on Love
Ginny Porter and Joan Flynn were born within days of each other in adjoining houses in a narrow street of two-up two-downs in Liverpool. They've been friends since they were toddlers and now they've become young ladies and left school. Joan finds work at Dunlop's tyre factory, while Ginny's dream comes true when she is taken on as a counter assistant at Woolworths. But things don't work out as she had expected, and she carries around a dark secret...

Fantastic read
Another lovely book to read, the story was so heartwarming and some what true to life with a happy ending.

Another very formulaic book from Joan Jonker. Her books are mostly the same story told over and over but with different families in each one. Having said that they are enjoyable and are just what I've needed of late a little lite relief and happy endings.

This book told about love life families and friends who helped each other when times were hard. Brilliant, funny whimsical
