This book has not recieved any awards. It is a perfect book for a second grade classroom. It teached children about the concept of endangered species and introduces them to many animals that need protecting. It also shows how people can do their part to protect these animals. In my opinion, it has a great message and is perfect for kids who are interested in animals already, and can serve as an introduction to the concept of environmental conservation. Posiible in-class uses include use in a unit introduction, to read this book aloud to indroduce an animal or environmental-centric unit.
