Rate this book
Zara has only ever loved Den, fantasized about him and spent many years in heartbreak watching him sleep with everyone and anyone, but her. That is until they land themselves in Nickel town, hometown to the beautiful but scary Werewolf and Alpha Sallack, and his pack brothers who are equally just as breathtaking. Not forgetting the mysterious Vampire, that messes with her memory after every encounter. So now, she is surrounded by men that make her heart beat out of her chest and her blood tingle. But who will she give herself too wholeheartedly?

Zara will find out about their lives, and the life that awaits Den, but more importantly her own chosen destiny, which is full of twists and turns, lust, and betrayal unthinkable. But at least she has her new sister chosen to her, to help her deal with what lies ahead. That is until Richard 'The Dark Prince' comes to take back what is his!

The story is full of lust, love, friendship, hurt, anger, betrayal, heartbreak, and bitches! Follow Zara through the good the bad and the damn right ugly.

'Charming the Warriors' is the first in the series of 'The Charmer'.
The second book of the series will be out by the end of 2013.

It’s not clear who the true romance is between but the story centres on Zara and Den who are English and have been raised in Suffolk. They met as children when they were adopted by the Carters…. Zara when she was three and Den when he was eleven. Whilst she is deeply in love with Den, he sees her as his precious little sister whom he adores. From the first day they met, they were best friends and have remained so until the present day. Den has been Zara’s first and only crush but it has always been a case of unrequited love…….. Or is it?

You’ll have to read to the end to find out who Zara ends up with as there are several men who would like the position, namely Den, Sallack, Parrise and Angus. As she has professed to loving all of them, it’s interesting trying to work out who will ‘win’ her heart. But this isn’t just a love story as there is suspense as well. Zara discovers that she is the supernatural ‘Charmer’ but it is a secret that she must, at all costs, keep to herself. There is also a deep secret that we learn about Den which isn’t fully explored in this book.

The spelling and grammar is extremely poor with serious and incorrect overuse of the apostrophe and question mark. I don’t believe any editing took place before it was released and it could be quite off putting to some. Nor do I understand why Zara and Den were English as there was very little evidence of the cultural differences between Americans and Brits with both of them ‘speaking’ as if they were American i.e. language, spellings and choice of words are American rather than English. As it doesn’t lend itself to the storyline, it could have quite easily been left out. The storyline itself is quite good but I found it hard going to finish due to the amount of errors. Looking at reviews for book 2 however, has led me to believe that there are hardly any editing issues so I will give it a go. I hope I don’t waste my money.

I loved this book the story and characters were fantastic and it could have been incredible but it needed editing more than any other book I think I've ever read, I'm not talking about the odd bit of grammar or the wrong word occasionally I had to re-read whole sentences continuously through out the book, now I read quickly and I can generally skip over the odd mistake but this book had so many it was disconcerting. The writing was in places stilted and rigid but still I can't wait for the next book but fingers crossed this ones gets edited. With all I've said my four stars may seem generous and I suppose it is but despite its flaws it was a captivating book that I couldn't put down, three and half stars I suppose would be fairer.
