Take a trip to Compass Cove, an enchanted town full of magic and mayhem…
Zora Wick is at the end of her tether. After a lifetime of bad luck, it seems she’s ended up at rock bottom, saddled with debt from her cheating ex, a dead-end job with no prospects and a studio apartment that’s not even fit for a dog. It all seems a little hopeless until there’s a knock at the door…
It turns out Zora has long-lost family on the other side of the country, hidden away in a little town on an unknown island. After uprooting herself Zora arrives in town to find that not only has she inherited an estranged family, she’s also the sole heir of the town’s local bakery—there’s one other thing too, apparently she’s a witch.
With a whole world of magic to learn and a small business to run it seems like Zora’s hands are more than full, but when some new evidence comes to light and casts doubts on the nature of her aunt’s death, Zora is quickly drawn into solving a murder mystery.
At her side is a sarcastic cat, headstrong cousins and a whole host of townsfolk who are nothing short of interesting. Can Zora learn to bake, catch a killer and settle into her new life without ending up on the chopping block herself?Ten books. Over 2,200 pages. All in one boxset!

Loved the characters. The stories built up and there was lots of humor too. Great easy read but there needs to be a better job done with the grammar and spelling. Proof reading seems to be an art these days. Wish the series was longer.
Stories were fun to read, but the grammar and editing left a lot to be desired. This set of books was the worst I have read, usually finding at least an error on every page.
Overall the story is good and not the same tired later than usual manifestation of witchy powers trope but good lord could the author please have someone read and edit it. She has character names mixed up so many times I lost count and sometimes drops in a name that doesn't exist anywhere else in the books. The character development is pretty good as well for the major characters.
Spoiler alert: And while I understand that not every character has to be in every book I find it odd and absurd that once Zora frees her mother, her mom just takes off on a cross country trip with her adoptive father's ghost. You'd think as a prismatic witch too she'd at least stick around and teach Zora how to use her powers, but no. Even in the final book her mom doesn't visit her in the hospital or address the dark magic use. The two of them should have been unstoppable especially together but they both almost died. There's also the complete absence of the crushing debt Zora's ex left her with once she gets to Compass Cove as if debt collectors couldn't find her there. Which brings me to the most obvious error. If Zora was in so much danger from her real father and was supposed to be hidden why the hell was she given her magical mother's last name and not her adoptive father's? She could have changed it after getting to Compass Cove like Zelda did. And you didn't even give us the reunion of Zora and Hudson when he woke up. Also the series ended rather abruptly before the epic impeding battle between white and dark magic.
Well developed characters that are all unique individuals. A wide breadth of story lines hold the interest. What a creative imagination the author has! Some minor distraction that need editing: proper use of floor versus ground; when to use "I" or "me" correctly; when stating something like "If he thinks I don't know what I'm doing, he's got another THINK coming, not THING; generally closer editing. Can't totally rely on spell check. Just because a word actually is spelled correctly doesn't mean it is appropriately placed in a sentence. Have read many of this author's books. They are reliably entertaining!
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series. It kept the detective mind working as well as being fun. The humour was fab and the family dynamic was captivating. Wish there had been a true Christmas one though introducing elves or other fantasy creatures, parties and interesting gifts. Would have been fun. Keep them coming Hun. I'm part of the family now and need more. Thank you. From a 53 year old kid x
The stories are great fun - good plots and characters you care about. However, the myriad spelling, grammatical and plot errors - which get worse with each book - spoiled what should have been excellent. Sad really, I liked the Wick family a lot!
I really enjoyed this set of ten books about Zora Wicks, an ordinary woman, until she inherits a bakery in Compass Cove. Here she finds out that she is a witch. I loved following her story and how her powers developed. These books had humour, drama, fantastic creatures and great characters.
This is definitely a funny and fast moving set of books! From being a regular human to basically a Superwitch in less than a month! It is quite the journey.
Take a bit of time, ignore the typos and have a great time filled with excitement and laughter!
I always give a book until Chapter 5. It definitely didn't take that long here. Every chapter had me. I couldn't believe I was at the end of Book 10 so quickly. The characters are addicting & I love each one of them. Thank you!
This book bundle is fantastic. It has great unique characters with many mysteries. Each book has more than one case to be solved. There is no sexual content or gory violence. Great for all ages.
These books have never been proof read or spellchecked which made it difficult to read. I don’t like this kind of fantasy but I read them and they became more and more unmagical. It took more time to understand because of this lack of grammar and words being left out.
I've never read books about witches before and now I'm hooked. The entire series has kept me spellbound. Thank.you for keeping me entertained throughout. Fantastic reading from start to finish.
While I was lucky enough to get this 10 book series all in one shot, I was disappointed when I got to the end. I would have been happy to keep going and going.
