Her Heart's Longing

In her heart, registered nurse Katie Mann carries the painful memories of her teen pregnancy and the baby boy she gave up for adoption. Only the people closest to her remember that time in Katie’s life. She can’t convince the baby’s biological father, the charming and fickle Nathan West, she isn’t interested in giving him a second chance for a relationship. When she meets Jackson Stone, a former college classmate at the senior citizen residence where she works as a nurse, sparks ignite. Jackson, the grandson of Katie’s favorite resident at the Senior Home, thinks she’s hiding something, but that doesn’t stop him from pursuing a relationship with her. Katie can’t deny her growing love for Jackson, but she’s afraid to tell him the truth about her past. Will telling Jackson the truth keep Katie from the man she loves and the family she longs to have?

A story involving real life problems in characters that seem real. It was easy to read and characters were easy to relate to. A very good story that those who enjoy contemporary Christian fiction would enjoy. I received a copy of this story and these opinions are my own without payment.

Merged review:

A well written contemporary romance story. Even though this book is part of a series I felt like I’d not missed anything, and I had not read the previous books.
Great story, which lovers of Clean/Christian fiction will enjoy. I received a copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

This is the third book in The Three Sisters series.  It can be read alone or as part of the series.  I plan to go back and read the other books.  I liked this story because it was a sweet, christian story with wonderful characters who have learned important lessons, asked for forgiveness, and followed a new path in life.  I also liked that Kate, Aubrey, and Haleigh had become reunited, cleared the air, and had a second chance at friendship.  It was a fun story to read.  I especially enjoyed the budding romance between Katie and Jackson.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Beth Westcott weaves a sweet story full of redemption and grace. Her characters not only learn to let themselves love, but also learn to love themselves. And that even a hard event in the past can work for good in the future. This was a perfect finale to this series of friendship and faith.

Sweet romance

Katie can’t seem to forgive herself for her past, but strives to serve God in the present. She’s determined to make good choices and steer clear of men, especially after her heartbreak with Nathan. However, this nurse who has heart for helping everyone else can’t seem to accept that God may have a godly guy for her too.
I loved the theme of redemption and restoration in this novel.
