It is almost the first time for me to read an entire english written work depending only on my own motivation. However, it was a little bit silly as the purpose of it was lads education.
For a 1964-published book it is funny to know how the idea of visitors from mars was brand-new! the martian had a typical physical properties of floating off the ground with green skin color that would make me keep walking silently if I have seen one in a street one day
Then I looked to all the martian's gifts which are nothing but rubbish nowadays; the cube of knowledge comes true in the form of google, the torch-like thing of dr. wheeler is Color Doppler Ultrasonography, the egg is google planet mars, and finally I am sure that skateboard has been made somewhere with a wireless control device that was a great imagination to Mr. chalk who made it a wired one
Facebook make the last chapter useless as it will not cost them more than a push of a button of "add friend" on krim's facebook account

As a kid this was my favorite book. The whole notion of meeting this unearthly being and helping them(cue ET!) Was so exciting. And the special powers he gave to his young helper such as flying on a bike were thrilling. It has always remained firmly in my mind and it showed me the delight of losing oneself in another world, in imagination.
