Nine Lives by Paul Varjak

This is the fictional short story collection from the movie BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, brought to life after more than 50 years. In the movie, it was written by the male romantic lead character Paul Varjak, who describes it as being "sensitive, angry, tensely felt, and dirty, but only incidentally." The stories raise issues that were only beginning to rear their heads in the 1950s-racism, sexism and sexuality, planetwide nuclear and environmental disaster-in a Twilight Zone-meets-J.D. Salinger format true to both the era and Varjak's description.

A pretty entertaining bunch of stories, definitely fits well with this era. Each one different from the others.

Im honestly impressed! i was very excited to recieve this as a gift cause im a huge breakfast at tiffanys fan, but I guess did not expect a ‘fake’ book to be this good! These were very interesting stories, some more than the other, some less pleasant to read than others, but overall I enjoyed reading it! The stories covered some important parts of american history in an unusual way and it really keeps the reader interested. I will probably forget most of these stories after a while, but ill definitely get back to this book one day!
