Like all of Mr. Parfitt's book, Walking Through Walls is a practical book that is meant to be fully experienced; however, I'm already engaged in some other practices right now and just read over it.

It is astounding how potent the writing in this book can be. It is tailored to stimulate and make the reader reflect on themselves, their desires, and the nature of reality. It is a New Age book, insofar that it assumes there is more to life than material reality and humans are empowered, but it isn't silly or filled with nonsense. That said, it is written with tenderness and humor and is meant to bring about a more joyous, honest state in the reader.

Walking Through Walls and The Living Qabalah are both from the late eighties and have aged well. Each share several themes which are examined and extrapolated from different angles.

Walking Through Walls specifically deals with practices that Parfitt found in and developed out of psychosynthesis and esoteric disciplines. In his introduction to the 2012 Kindle edition he explains that his original subtitle was just that: Psychosynthesis and the Esoteric. He draws from Gurdjieff, Crowley, Robert Anton Wilson, as well as the pioneering work of Roberto Assagioli.

This is a book that will provoke the reader and change the practitioner. It is well worth your time and effort.
