I am very annoyed that I bought this book. Dear review-reader take heed: I am about to embark on a rant.
Firstly, this book is misnamed. Only Chapter 2 even professes to be about "Writing Your Book", and of this, approximately 1 page (I'm being generous here) is dedicated to "Writing Your Chapters". The rest of the chapter informs the would-be author of the other necessary ingredients of the mysterious item that is a book. For example: cover page, contents and author biography. Surprise!
Thus a better title for this rather short publication might be "How to Market Your Book". Indeed, there were a few reasonable tips on how to do so (many of which are now, unfortunately, quite out of date - such as the heavy reliance on faxing, or the one sentence brush-over of Facebook).
Lastly, should one trust a book on self-publishing which overflows with spelling, punctuation and formatting errors? I can safely say I've never read a published book that contains more editorial boo-boos. I wholeheartedly agree with Bermingham's point that an aspiring self-published author ought to employ a reliable editor. The question is - did she take her own advice? Even the author's name is misspelled on the e-book version!
Sigh. Rant over.

The focus is on "& make it a bestseller". This book briefly touches on writing the book, but is more focussed on the marketing and how to get your book out there. The concepts are good, but much of the information is now out of date.

Should be renamed; How to self publish a book.
For that purpose it is a good step by step instruction.
It will not however teach you how to write a book.
