First book I've read in this series, after picking a couple of them up at a giveaway price. I went in with low expectations because I haven't been impressed by Barna's material, and I was pleasantly surprised by this work.
The authors don't offer much in the way of new thought - predictably drawing on the stalwart contributions of Postman, McLuhan, and Carr - but their succinct synthesis and practical unpacking of existing ideas is excellent. One of the things I greatly appreciated, most likely because I tend towards the latter, was the challenge for Christians to find the balance between technophilia and being Luddites. I also really like their definition of wisdom: living meaningfully and mindfully but also humbly, recognising we haven't got everything right.
