This book could have been much shorter, and (strangely) at the same time I felt the author attempted to cover too much material.
Essentially this readably short and very insightful book does three things: (a) emphasise just how frenetic, interrupted, and distracted our lives are because of the digital world, devices, social media, and permanent connectedness (b) offer an acronym that will help you approach each day that includes quiet solitude, praying, reading, and exercise, amongst other things—this is the part of the book that could have been abbreviated (c) provide a brief, thoughtful, and realistic view of productivity, despite the ever increasing expectations our frenzied world has
What I appreciated most about this short book was the author's approach to productivity. Instead of offering detailed tips the reader is given palliative principles that include important - but almost always overlooked aspects - to being productive such as resting, smart breaks, enjoyable work that isn't work, and psychosomatic wellness. Since each of us function differently, I was glad for a more general yet simultaneously personal encouragement to be productive, by taking care of yourself
Some great advice here for staying sane in the digital age. Prioritizing, getting a handle on the lists and distractions. Encouraging and in no way demanding, this is a fantastic read!
