Marcel Templeton is determined never to fall for Mr. Wrong again. And no man is going to sweep her off her feet without meeting a few requirements first...Even if that means changing the rules of the dating game. Then the oh-so-fine Ian Michaels saunters into her life and threatens to ruin all her carefully laid plans...
Owner of a wildly successful multi media corporation, Ian Michaels has met a lot of ladies-- but none have gotten under his skin quite like Marcel. The minute she comes crashing into his life, she starts firing away the "rules" that any man she dates must follow. But Ian thinks he knows what Marcel really needs-- someone to rock her world. And he's just the man to do it!
It's obvious to Marcel that the man has "player" written all over him, but the feelings he evokes in her are oh-so-sweet and she can't quite remember why she's fighting so hard. And it's not long before she may have to admit that the passion that flares between them, may just be the reason they belong together...
Niqui wrote her first novel, Night to Remember, while she was still a senior at The University of Southern California (USC). During those years, she was highly focused on building the right academic foundation so that she might go on to work in the field of research medicine. She majored in Chemistry at USC and later went on to get a graduate degree in the field of Biomedical Sciences. Those years at University were challenging ones for her, but she was always able to relax and unwind by reading a good book.
Because a very dear relative passed away from terminal cancer, in addition to her love for the written word, she also has a firm commitment to the field of cancer research. And, today, is one of the scientists ‘working for the cure.’

One of her most beloved series so far is The Champagne series. Readers around the world have fallen in love with this family of gorgeous men. Niqui finally found ‘the man of her dreams’ and was married in August 2006. She and her husband now live in New Jersey, and look forward to many happy years, and many, many spicy Niqui Stanhope novels
Marcel Templeton has her rules, but when she bumps(literally) into Ian Michaels, a successful, wealthy, and dangerously handsome man he makes her take a step back. Determined to never fall for "Mr. Wrong" again she has her doubts about Ian Michaels because in her mind with his good looks, and wealth he has "player" written all over him. Will Ian make her break her own rules and take a chance at love? I enjoyed this book a great deal.~~~~~~~Niqui Stanhope continues to break all the rules writing steamy romances filled with lots of drama, something her readers have come to love. I really enjoyed reading Marcel and Ian's journey of finding true love and happiness so much, that there were times I wished I were able to shake Marcel for not knowing that she had indeed found her "Mr. Right." CHANGING THE RULES is a highly engaging novel that will delight readers until the very end.
this book was do unrealistic! the heroine falls in love with the hero in 3days. THREE DAYS ! not even a week. With the hero, you aren't even aware of the fact that he loves the heroine until the second to last page of the book- when he proposes marriage. how preposterous. this book was horrible. it was only given 2stars because I managed to finish the darn book. You couldn't even read between the lines to see the love between the two characters. Their love was pretty much non-existent.
There were horrible character development- actually...now that I think about it, there were no character development at all, and in fact, there wasn't any personality insights given to us by the author what-so-ever. All I know is that the hero is rich, loves his brother and his niece, period and the heroine has a nagging mother and is looking for a husband.
have you ever read a book that ends right when the story is starting to get really good? this is that type of book. OMG the book was just starting to get interseting and then it just ended. I really hope there will be a second part. if not thats very wrong of the author to mess with my mind like that lol.
This book I really thought was pretty boring in the beggining but it got much much better when I got further into the ending...I was pretty satisfied with the ending I reallyliked hot it turned out.
I guess when it comes to love, there are no rules, just guidelines. With the heroine, real love comes when you least expect it, just like so many other things in life. Just be ready!
