I had mixed feelings about this story. I did like the characters and the story presented here. I found the idea of an author doing research on the world of BDSM and then that worlds seducing her to be intriguing. Innocence being tempted is not a new concept, but it does work well when done right. This story was not long enough to fully develop that premise, but it did build a good foundation for future works in the series.

A couple things I need to address though. There is practically no heat in this story. There are no explicitly described sex scenes. There is some penetration at the end, nudity, some brief masturbation, but no real sex. Not a problem in most stories, but this is labeled as erotica.

The other real problem is the editing. I know how difficult it is to catch every little mistake, but when you switch to first person perspective, to third, back again, and even point it out to the reader…not good. I saw things in parenthesis when they should not have been. To be honest, this feels like the author got the manuscript back from the editor with edits on it, and just uploaded it without going through it.

The content is not bad, the presentation is.
