Someone Else's Problem?: Teacher Development to Meet Special Educational Needs

Rate this book
You wake up lying on the floor with your head in a pool of blood, and find yourself in the throne room of an ancient temple. The walls are made of stone blocks, and the ceiling is supported by columns that rise high above you. An archway leads north into a corridor; the east opens onto the throne room itself, and the west exits out into the courtyard beyond. The floor is paved with flagstones, and the walls are decorated with frescoes depicting scenes of war and death.
There is nothing here you would want to steal.
You wake up in a chair in the middle of the throne room, surrounded by an unusual assortment of objects. A golden crown sits on top of a wooden table nearby. In the corner, a large crossbow rests on the floor. To your left, a sarcophagus containing a skeleton lies on its side. The ground is covered with coins and gemstones, some of which are valuable. Some of these items, such as the crown and the bow, belong to the king, while others were stolen from enemies slain in battle.
On the far wall, opposite the entrance, lies the body of a dead guard. His eyes are open, staring blankly at the ceiling.
You pick up the crown.
