I love the slower pace of New Bern, North Carolina as well as the history and small town community. Imagine a neighborhood where people wave at one another and keep eye out for the children. It's like living in the 1950s. In addition to dreaming up my next story, of which there are always two or three in the works, I enjoy reading everything from children’s books to romance to mysteries to vampire adventure, singing in my church choir and needle-weaving.

Cougar Needs by Cooper McKenzie is a charming, but very hot story of a forty-something woman looking for real love. The blurb does a great job of describing the story, so I won't add anything else that might spoil it.
This is a character driven story with a smoothly flowing plot. It's a basic "older woman meets younger man" tale with a dangerous ex and a cougar shifter to add a spicy twist to the storyline. The sex is DEFINITELY hot and steam, with just a touch of kink. The author's writing style is simple, clean, and straightforward. I just wish there had been a little more depth and originality to the book.The story does have a HEA ending that I enjoyed. If you're looking for a quick and sexy read with a shifter thrown in, this is the book for you.
