Batter up! Football, basketball, and now baseball—is there anything the Barber brothers won’t try their best to do? The Barbers join the baseball team in this home-run adventure from NFL superstars and bestselling authors Tiki and Ronde Barber.
Tiki and Ronde have their sights set on a big diamond—a baseball diamond! Sure, they’re experienced athletes, but they’ve never played baseball before. Do they have what it takes to make the team?
Tiki Barber is a record-holding retired running back for the New York Giants. Mr. Barber is currently a correspondent for NBC's Today show and an analyst for NBC's Football Night in America.
This book is about the Eagles who end up in extra innings at their baseball games.
This book was really good. My two favorite things about this book was when the eagles came back a lot during the season and how Tiki had to be pitcher for a couple of games. My last thing I liked is how Tiki steals bases a lot.
I think readers will enjoy this book if they like baseball.
In this latest installment of sports fiction by Tiki & Ronde Barber, the twins, now in ninth grade, are trying out for the junior high school baseball team. Although they have never played on a baseball team before, they earn starting spots. Baseball does not come as naturally for them as football does, and they find a lot more challenges. They stay true to their beliefs of working for the good of the team, even when they are not the strongest players. They worry though, since they are about to graduate from junior high, if this is how they will be remembered, instead of for their star football seasons. For sports fans, grades 4-7.
Fine book by two NFL players, twins Tiki and Ronde Barber. The story is inspired by their childhood, when they went out for the baseball team even though their true love was (and is) football. There is a nice current of "try new things" and "play different sports, and have fun with each of them" theme throughout the book which I think is good for kids to read.
It was a good book and it was fun to learn about their experiences playing so many sports and they ended up in the NFL but they were to hard on themselves and got each self down to much
