The Convert's Guide to Mormon Culture: The Green Jello Project
Written by a convert for converts/new members/nonmembers interested in the cultural nuances associated with the LDS religion.
The Guide/The Green Jello Project does NOT delve into scripture or even the discussions. There is simply an explanation about why you won't need a steak knife at the Stake House or Stake Center. There really isn't popcorn on trees. FHE is more than just three letters thrown about in conversation.
It's to get you past the hurdle and into fitting in that much faster.
You can do it! Spread the love and share with friends.

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by only 4 years, and oh how I wish I had this 4 years ago! This was the perfect a-z listing of all things Morman! I laughed, like seriously laughed. Even 4 years later, this guide informed me of a couple things I didn't know! I think this is the perfect guide to have on hand, for all members, both new and old. I think it will be the one thing I give as a baptism gift from now on too! did I mention that it was the PERFECT idea for a gift for new members? Ummmm this should be a required book to hand out to every member. I am glad the author wrote this, because entering the Church can be overwhelming and there are a lot of words and terms used that if you weren't raised around might be weird or something you never heard before. BTW, I didn't have the recipe for Funeral Potatos and now I do! I feel like a legit, official member now hahaha.....
This is a guide that is from A- Z word and term understanding. Things like what is Relief Society? BYU? Cultural Hall? This book explains what everything is, clearly and easily (And with a little humor)

Wish I had had this book 11 years ago when I joined the church. Will buy some copies to give to new members! Great book!

Meh, honestly, I really wanted this to contain more humor. The "Green Jello Project" sounded so promising, like we'd get some humor and heart, but honestly it really was just more of a dictionary to clear up misconceptions about Latter-Day-Saint "slang." Kind of a bummer but oh well. Informative if you are a convert, I guess.
