This fantastic book of card tricks and illusions by a leading magician covers classical trickery and original techniques to amaze and amuse. Showing both the performer's and the audience's perspectives, the book is ideal for anyone who wants to entertain friends and family.
It isn't every review I do that I find much of the information I have to share about the book has already been effectively communicated in the book's subtitle. Suffice it to say, I came to this book a layman and an amateur. I found that the book did contain exactly what it promised. Upon finishing six weeks of practice, and at least one attempt of every trick in the book, I can now force a card, lift a card, false shuffle, and flourish well enough to impress a small child. This book was certainly adequate for the task I hoped it to perform.
Recommended to adults who are absolute beginners, and want to apply themselves to learn something just one tiny step fancier than the usual coin-behind-the-ear trick.
