A fun lift-the-flap book that is noteworthy because it gives such a realistic picture of farm life. It isn't sugar-coated or cartoonized, but explains the real characteristics of each animal you might find on a farm. I was interested to learn that goats are good at climbing and jumping, and might be mischievious enough to climb into the farmer's truck to eat a harvest of apples. Lucy especially loves the worm in the apple that the rooster is trying to eat.
