After the Glitter Fades: War Time Poems and Other Musings

Rate this book
After the Glitter Fades is a collection of poetry and advice from Betty Jean Goff, who passed away in 2007. Betty lived, loved and lost during, and then post war time, in the United States. Her poetry lay unpublished for over 50 years. In this poignant tribute her daughter, Lynny Prince, shares pieces of her mother's life through journal entries, poetry, and snippets of advice. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the American Cancer Society.

What shines here is but pure love from Betty Jean who was so passionate in her poetry. Each piece reflects a special time in her life. Her words cut straight to the bone as I felt the emotions dance from print to motion. It is clear here that she wanted her gift to be shared and Lynny Prince made that happen. These are great poems I will revisit and share with others. Betty Jean Goff is smiling down from Heaven.
