great book, very clear instructions and pictures.
all quilts given for 3 sizes (that is, fabric requirements and etc)
it does give directions for using 4 or 6 inch squares as well as "charm squares" which are 5 inches (hence the 'nickel' designation)
it does NOT say, but a different reviewer did, that its very easy to make the blocks using the ten inch square "layer cakes' to get a bigger square fast!

Great book for all quilters

What a fabulous book, I’ve had it as a kindle book for a few years now ...today I started reading it and can honestly say that I love all of the quilts....I can’t wait to start my first one.....great for beginners, it has easy to follow pictures and instructions. And every quilt made with 5” scraps.....a must have for any library.

Excellent collection of patterns; some great ideas for scrap quilts. The instructions assume you are working with "nickel" patches or charm squares, but I used a combination of scraps and cut-up yardage to make several of these projects.
