3.5 Frustrating stars!!
Holy frustrating love triangle!!! This story should be titled Their Little Secret, not Your Little Secret. Everyone has secrets!!! And warning…if indecisive female characters annoy you, be careful with this one. I was pretty sure Amber, AKA “Ambi,” was going to make me throw my kindle!!! Frustrating, whiney, and indecisive are only a few words I have to describe her. I have a few more but am trying to be as nice as I possibly can.
“How the hell did she get into this mess? How did she allow her heart to deviate from one man’s love to another and back like love wasn’t some special, fragile gift?”
Sorry, but characters like her make me crazy. I am just the kind of person who doesn’t understand all the indecisiveness. So, after all the bitching about Amber, I can also say that I enjoyed this story, for the most part. Conner was an ass and I wanted to nut punch him the whole time, but Ethan made the story for me…even if he had his moments, also. Ethan is an amazing best friend. He is patient and caring and I cheered for him the whole time. Every twist and turn of this story made me cringe, especially thinking about her possibly ending up with Conner. And there is a LOT of the back and forth…hence the frustration!!!

Although, honestly, I never could feel the connection between Conner and Amber, and I think that is what fueled my rage with Amber. I needed a tad bit more about their past. We got so much info about Ethan and Amber, but the story didn’t go into much about Conner and Amber’s past. I kept wanting to shout at Amber, follow your damn heart!!
"I wish my heart will make the right decision when the time is right.”
Although this story tested my limits on frustration, there was also a lot of humor to it, that I enjoyed. The one character in this whole story that I didn’t want to cause bodily harm to, at some point, was Lucy, Amber’s friend. LOL! She saved my sanity ;) I know it sounds like I didn’t like this story, but I truly did!! I love emotions, good or bad, and this one definitely brought out emotions.

Amber is in a relationship with Connor but he has to leave for 20 weeks for London for work. Both are heartbroken over it but soon enough she feels like he's hiding something and doesn't make enough time for her. Barely calling or texting or skyping and there's always someone in the background when they do talk. Heartbroken over it, Ethan, Amber's best friend, helps her cope and is there for her, spending loads of time with her but he's in love with her and always has been. What happens when Amber feels abandonned and everything and every relationship she has crumbles down? Can she survive it?
This story is a love triangle and contains cheating so if you don't like those things I wouldn't suggest this book. Usually I'm not into those type of stories but this one sounded so good and I'm glad I read it. It's a beautiful story, showing love and friendship and how friends are always there for each other but soon enough feelings get in the way and you get a good feeling of how it could happen in reality.
Eventhough Amber was annoying at times with deciding what she wanted to do and always going back to Connor no matter what, the rest of the characters were well written. Some parts confused me. The mention of Amber's parents never being close to her and never supporting her and why they are that way isn't explained in it and it was quite confusing as there's a bit with her mom and there's no explanation as to why she's like that with her daughter. Also in the beginning of the book, it's said that Connor has to leave Amber for work so early in the relationship and then later in the book it's said they've been together for 5 years.
It was well written and you couldn't tell that it was written by two different person which was very good. Overall this book was really good and a great surprise.
There is a sequel and I cannot wait to see what will happen with the MAJOR cliffhanger there is at the end!

This story was a wonderful read with an unexpected cliff-hanger at the end, but that is what makes the best books.
Beginning in the book you start with the ‘poor me’ from Amber when the love of her life Conner is leaving for a once in a lifetime job opportunity and she is staying behind. She was nervous and scared about him leaving her but knew it was right for him to do this now so that they could have a better future, or so she thought.
Conner seems to be a decent guy with his heart in the right place, but after he leaves Amber behind things seem to change. He doesn’t hold up his in end of the bargain in the communication department once he leaves, which leaves a very confused Amber. This book has many twists and turns that made it really hard for me to put it down. I can’t wait to see what is to come for Amber, Ethan, Eva, Conner and Lucy. I believe their story is just getting started and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them and their futures.

Where to start... I was given this book as a BETA and boy am I glad I was given it!!
Once I started, it wasn't long before I was completely drawn into the story and it only took me only a few hours to read from cover to cover, as I couldn't put it down. Let me start by saying OMG!! What a roller coaster of emotions and because of the way its written you are right there experiencing it all first hand. Through the happiness, pain, laughter and some pretty steamy scenes this book takes you a wide range of emotions right along with the characters. Amber is an amazing character and you feel that you are able to connect and relate with her from the start, she's just a young woman trying to make the best out of her life. For me I think its the little things in the book that made it so easy to relate to, the references to life today that your don't find with many authors. I have said it before and I will say it again, I love the way Kirsty writes and both Beth and Kirsty have done an amazing job with this book. They are both talented young writers with a wicked way with words!! I can't wait to read more in the future

Author sent me this for an honest review.… ok where do I start. This book pulled me in from the beginning & I couldn't stop. Amber, I feel for her. You could tell all she wanted was to be loved & cared for, which from the beginning you could tell Conner (Amber's current boyfriend) didn't do that. Ethan, holy carp!!! I want my own Ethan :) he has always loved Amber but they didn't want to ruin what they have & end up losing each other, They just stayed best friends. He is so sweet, caring & loving towards Amber it's just amazing. Then comes in Eva, Ethan's ex girlfriend. (DON'T LIKE HER) Eva & Amber don't get along never have & never will.. Amber opens her eyes to the idea of Ethan & realizes she loves him but is to late for them to have a chance.....

I loved this book. It has a very complex sets of relationships. The way that it has been written means that, as a reader, you yourself become emotionally invested in the characters.
I laughed, I cried, I even shouted at my computer! Amber finds herself in a very tricky situation and we feel what she feels!!
I can't wait to recommend this book to everyone!! A fabulous 'must read' that will leave you feeling wrung out and smiling!!

This is a fantastic story. I ended up reading it in one sitting. The book pulled on all my emotions. Can't believe it was written by two authors. Awesome book.
I'm not gonna go into the story as I don't wanna spoil it. All I'm gonna say is it's a fantastic read that I highly recommend.
Be warned there's a cliffhanger. Hope book two is out soon!!

First, I would like to thank the authors Bethan Cooper & Kirsty-Anne Still for giving me this book for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this story. The story-line is good and there is a cliff hanger at the end. The characters are well written and developed. I look forward to finding out what happens with these characters as their secrets have come to light and more from these authors.

After reading books written by jot these ladies I was excited about this and oh boy I wasn't disappointed with so much going on from the first words it was a battle of love between all of them.

What happens when you fall in love with two men? Hearts break, secrets are revealed, deceit is a part of every day life and no matter what you decide you heart is going to break one way or another.
This book frustrated me because there were some parts I loved and some parts I really didn’t and that’s why I gave it a 3.5 rating.
The main characters Amber, Connor and Ethan were a lot to take for me. The only clear character I loved to be honest was Ethan. I thought he was incredibly sweet, cute, romantic and out of everyone I felt devastated for him the most in this love triangle.
“You know I love you right? More than any other woman, it’ll always be you, Amber, always. You’re my best friend, the girl who I will always run to; you are the absolute optimal of me.”
Amber I had a love/hate relationship with. At some points I felt for her being in love with two men but at other times I thought she was just too whiny considering the situation was something she had put herself in and I actually thought she was quite mean to Ethan sometimes with the way she spoke to him. She seemed to blame everyone else for her problems except for herself and I don’t think that’s fair considering her role within the story.
“This is what it feels like to have the person you love, who everyday stuck by you, only to lose them. This was the heart crushing pain that consumed your body.”
Connor I have to admit I liked the first few pages but I figured out his secret pretty quickly. I won’t say anymore on that because I don’t want to spoil it for readers.
“His eyes capturing her as a memory, his heart locking her away as a keepsake, knowing he would have to leave her behind.”
The plot was great at some parts, such as the sex scenes, wondering what was going to happen, who was going to end up with who, it definitely kept you wanting to turn the pages. However at other times it just seemed slightly over the top, the emotions and Amber’s devastation just honestly got on my nerves a little bit.
The ending was good and entertaining and I have to admit I didn’t see it coming. I am intrigued as to what happens next. I believe if the authors calm Amber a down a little and not make her seem so “poor me, poor me,” she will be a more enjoyable character to read about and have the emotions in sync with what is happening and not so over the top, then this story will just keep getting better.

Love me a good love triangle , especially when 1 member is the chicks bestest guy friend !!
Amber and Connor have been together for years. He has taken a project on at work and will be leaving for London for 5 months. Amber is devastated not wanting to be alone and away from Connor that long. They seem to be very in love and Connor struggles with leaving as well. In walks BFF Ethan !! It's not enough for Amber to have a hot boyfriend she also has the super hot and bestest best guy friend ever !! You can tell right away that there are sparks , have they always been there ?? Ethan is definitely in love with Amber , you can tell it by his thoughts and reactions to her. Amber knows she loves Ethan but she really believes it is a friend kind of love. The way these two act with each other any outsider would assume they were a couple.
During Connor's absence Amber loses trust in Connor and fears the worst a lot. She is annoying and needy which drives me crazy but I let it slide because I have never been in that situation. Ethan is there to pick up the pieces as always and he saves Amber more than once from crawling in a hole and suffering. A surprise visit from Connor spurs some major jealousy in Ethan. The constant lack of texts and skype sessions spurs doubt in Amber. It really is a rollercoaster of emotions. At first I assumed Connor was cheating , but then you see him with Amber and realize no way , he is in love and she is just being a drama queen. The more back and forth that happens the more you realize something is going to happen to break this cozy life Amber has with these 2 guys.
OH AND LET ME JUST SAY HOT HOT HOT SEX SEX SEX !!!!

Amber and Connor have been together for years. He has taken a project on at work and will be leaving for London for 5 months. Amber is devastated not wanting to be alone and away from Connor that long. They seem to be very in love and Connor struggles with leaving as well. In walks BFF Ethan !! It's not enough for Amber to have a hot boyfriend she also has the super hot and bestest best guy friend ever !! You can tell right away that there are sparks , have they always been there ?? Ethan is definitely in love with Amber , you can tell it by his thoughts and reactions to her. Amber knows she loves Ethan but she really believes it is a friend kind of love. The way these two act with each other any outsider would assume they were a couple.
During Connor's absence Amber loses trust in Connor and fears the worst a lot. She is annoying and needy which drives me crazy but I let it slide because I have never been in that situation. Ethan is there to pick up the pieces as always and he saves Amber more than once from crawling in a hole and suffering. A surprise visit from Connor spurs some major jealousy in Ethan. The constant lack of texts and skype sessions spurs doubt in Amber. It really is a rollercoaster of emotions. At first I assumed Connor was cheating , but then you see him with Amber and realize no way , he is in love and she is just being a drama queen. The more back and forth that happens the more you realize something is going to happen to break this cozy life Amber has with these 2 guys.

What happens when best friends are truly in love with each other but don’t want to admit it until they are both in commented relationships with other people? This is just that story. Meet Amber and Ethan.
Amber is living in a small house that needs some work but it is hers. She has a job and an amazing boyfriend, Connor. But when Connor has to leave for London for many weeks for work, Amber starts to feel as though she is alone. She does not due well with abandonment. Her best friend Ethan is there to pick her up and help her deal with life.
She has a bad feeling about Connor being away for work. Every time they speak he is in such a hurry to get off the phone her mind starts to wonder. But Connor has just enough pull to keep her within his grasp. Finally he comes back and takes her to his life in London for a week. He wants to show her that he loves her and has only been trying to setup a life for them there.
Amber realizes a little too late that she might be with the wrong man. She loves Connor but not the way she loves Blake, her best friend. The one man that has been by her side for always. Once she is home, Connor has done the one thing he promised he would never do; he has left her all alone. He is gone. He is no where to be found. Amber loses her self. I will be the first to admit that I usually don’t enjoy books involving love triangles. Too much drama, but this book. Wow! It sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go until the very end.
Amber and Conner are in a relationship but when Conner is called to London it brings out all of Amber’s insecurities and doubts. All that she wants and needs is to be loved.
Amber and Ethan are best friends. Ethan passionately loves Amber but won’t let himself take the next step in fear of losing their friendship.
But the longer Conner is away and the more secrets that it seems as if he is hiding, the closer Amber and Ethan get to each other.
This book was absolutely fantastic, well written and the characters absolutely consume you. There are a couple of characters that make you want to throw your kindle at the wall but Amber and Ethan more than make up for it. My heart broke for poor Amber. All she ever wanted is to be loved. This is a girl who thinks that she found Mr. Right only to find out that he is Mr. Wrong. But there stands Ethan. Sweet, lovable, sexy, romantic Ethan. My love for him knows no bounds. He would do anything for Amber. He is always there for her. Especially after she returns from a trip to London to surprise Conner and gets the surprise of her life. Ethan’s friendship and love never waver.
This is a book that examines the different forms of true loves and relationships. It is so exquisitely written that you feel the characters joy and pain. Their feelings and palpable and real.
I will warn you that this does end in a cliffhanger, but don’t let that stop you from diving into this little gem.

This book literally took me on an roller coaster from happy to sad from angry to relieved from irritated to relieved. Let's just say that I was all over the place with this one. I just don't know how to feel about it, but I do know that it made me feel. Between us, it made me cry. Like a for real boo hoo cry. I was just so emotionally involved with Amber, Ethan, and Cooper. There were tears of joy and anger at some point throughout my reading of this book.
The book started out a little slow for me, but it picked up for me in the middle. By the end, I was unable to put it down.
Amber: I empathized with her but was frustrated by her too. I just wanted her to follow her heart and stop holding on to a loser. The bottle clearly was not the answer.
Ethan: He deserved a medal. I mean how selfless can one person be? How giving? How understanding?
Connor: argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I gave this book 4 stars only because I thought it started off slow as I mentioned. If it wasn't for that, this book would have been perfect. Btw....I can't wait to see what happens next.

It was good up until the end, I read the preview for the next novel and think Amber's an idiot. Eva is a whore and she sleeps around, he needs a DNA test and Amber is throwing it all away. Stupid girl! lol

You ever have one of those books where you have to call a friend to vent? Well this was the one for me. I was so frustrated and angered by the female and her best friend in this book, I seriously considered not even finishing it, but I did only because I had the hope that something would happen that would make me not be so angry.
Amber and Connor are in a relationship, living in a place with a leaky roof, creaking stairs and dripping facets but it is their little piece of heaven. Connor is getting ready to leave for twenty weeks to London for work. Twenty weeks, approximately five months, to a location that is a couple of hours away by train. Keep that in mind as you will soon see the first part of my frustration. Neither want to be apart but life has ways of stepping in and changing the plans. Once he is gone Amber is depressed, she misses him and longs for him to be back in her arms.
Ethan, the guy who has been in love with her for years and is her best friend, comes to comfort her and get her out of bed and back into life. Well it so happens that he ends up getting her back in bed and under him while Connor is in London. Ok so I get that Connor is acting strange, weeks can go by that he doesn’t contact her, when they do talk she can hear others in the background, but seriously, get a train ticket and find out what your man is doing behind your back before you jump in bed with your best friend.
By now I am sure you can see this is a story of a love triangle where cheating is involved, sneaking around and lying is clearly needed and someone’s heart is going to be broken. If this isn’t your cup of tea then avoid this book but if you get into that stuff you will probably like it. There are things that happen that I can see would make Amber feel abandoned by everyone and shove her into a depressed way of thinking but I really wished she would have been written as a stronger female character. She has to decide where her heart is, who holds that piece of her soul. The ending will be a struggle for those who are able to invest in the story and characters, for those who were frustrated by the plot and her actions; you will be thankful that someone finally stood up and said enough.
I am glad I finished the book and saw where they were going with this. It was beginning to restore my faith in Ethan and Amber and give me hope that she was going to figure out her life once and for all. I wanted to give this book two stars due to the fact that by fifty percent of the way I was ready to throw my kindle across the room and be ticked off the rest of the day but that would have been unfair to rate this book on my frustration with the plot and not consider the book as a whole. As for consistency and writing style, there were a few places that didn’t flow so well for me but over all I would say it was a job well done and I feel that the authors do have a talented way with words and creating the scenes for the reader.

September 1, 2014Okay, so I am going to be honest with all of you... I could not get into this book. I started it as soon as I received it and barely made it to 20%.
As of right now I am putting it under 'Did not finish.' But it will not stay there. At the moment I just can't find the connection with this book. I can't get into it.
I am not rating this book, I am leaving it for now and do plan on coming back to it and giving it another go.
I don't know if it's because this was my first read by both these authors but I just wasn't connecting.
Do not take this as a bad review because it's not! This is not a review, I don't have much to review from what I did read.
As I said, I'm not rating this book right now... But once I do decide to go at it again, I will post a final review with my rating.

During Connor's absence Ambi discovers she may be in love with Ethan but she still sees Connor as her love. Can these relationships make it through the lies and secrets? What happens with Connor and why is he acting so strangely?
This book frustrated me more than any other. Amber was selfish and want everyone to be there for her which made me sick. Amber ughhhh....The story was fantastic but Amber frustrated me so such at times I stopped read. Overall a good read

OMG!!!! What just happened!?!? You can't leave a story like that. I mean I know there was a bonus chapter (subject to change) for the next book but I couldn't bring myself to read it because it would leave me wanting more than I already do!!! OMG that was such an emotionally charged book I loved it!

3-3.5 stars…I'm anxious to see where book 2 takes us. Some of the terminology and phrasing threw me off a bit. Amber- is a hot mess…reading her life was stressing me out LOL. There is a love "square" in this book..
