About the author

Thelia Hutchinson was born in Jamaica and raised in The Bronx, New York.

Thelia is a registered nurse, poet and children’s author.

Thelia discovered her love of writing from her first poetry writing assignment. With her love of poetry and the birth of her wonderful daughter, Thelia began to extend her love of writing to children’s books.

When she is not writing, she loves to read, cook, watch Christmas movies and spend time with her family.

Thelia is a member of SCBWI, Mighty Kid Lit, 12x12.

She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, daughter and dog.

Warm digital artwork with just a touch of whimsy accompanies rhyming lines describing the hopes, dreams, and encouragement parents have for their offspring. The text reminds those youngsters that parental love is unconditional and that while there may be times of sadness, that love will remain constant. The illustrations showcasing the families are wonderfully diverse in composition, not only with skin tone but also with two dads, two moms, a single father, and the traditional family with one father and one mother. The book's message is positive, and it's impossible to resist smiling and feeling reassured by the text and artwork. One of the best aspects of the book is the reminder to laugh. Don't we all need to hear that more often?

A book about the love parents have for their kids. I don't think children really know how much parents love them until they become parents are watch as others become parents. Parent's give so much to their children.

This book is about how much support parents give their kids and will help them along the way. The book has spiritual roots and shows many types of families and the love they share. It's positive and a great affirmation for young kids.

The artwork is digital. The artwork is positive with bright colors and cozy setting for families. It feels good.

Kids can enjoy this reminder of a loving home and enjoy this positive book. Geared toward the younger kids.

A sweet and loving tribute to all of our children that expresses to them of the unconditional love and support of parents and families. I like the way the colorful illustrations show a diversity of individuals as well as situations that young children can relate to and the text continuously reassures children of the wonders that they are and that they bring to families. This book is literally a bundle of love from parent-to-child. Every time I read it, I feel so much warmth in the words and through the illustrations that it lifts my spirits up, making me feel less alone and knowing that I will always have someone by my side.
