Stefanie Pointer, a UCLA senior on her way to a top ten law school, likes herself just the way she is-a smart, ambitious, but simple girl who is comfortable in a tank top, a pair of jeans and flip-flops. Staci Robinson is an author and screenwriter. Her previous projects and collaborations include the compilation Tupac Remembered: Bearing Witness to a Life and Legacy, the novel Interceptions, the film The Bounce Back, and the FX documentary series Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur. Robinson graduated from UCLA with a degree in history. She currently lives with her family in Northern California.

Interceptions by Stacy Robinson is the tale of a college romance gone bad when Stefanie Pointer relinquishes her identity to her boyfriend Ricky powers. With love and the promise of becoming Ricky's wife as the excuse, she proceeds to give up her own dreams, friendships, and ambitions in exchange for the desires of her mate. Ultimately, Ricky, who becomes a professional athlete, overwhelms Stefanie with his expectations, and they both realize the love they proclaim may not be worth the effort to keep it.

The story with its modern twist and turns manages to keep your interest as the reader is led to dissect the relationship between Stefanie and Ricky. The characters are very realistic and its detailed account of the professional sports industry is quite accurate. It ends with a nice message also and that is to "Be true to yourself."

I highly recommend this book! If you ever loved and lost then you will be able to relate to the story. It's not just about sports. I can't wait until she releases her next book.
