I started this, then it got lost during a cleaning of the house. I recently found it and picked it up. It is an incredibly moving and well-written tale of family and community. I'll have more to say that I am sure, but Allen's imagery leaps off of the pages and makes the reader feel as though they are one of the ghosts in the room of the characters.

A great, engaging read with vivid, visual portrayals, characters galore and wonderful dialogue. A slice of life seldom portrayed.
