Would you turn down a handsome movie star if he came on to you? Well, you might if he was married. Sara wasn’t looking for love. She had escaped to London from an abusive boyfriend, a father who keeps her existence a secret, and a past filled with anorexia and anxiety. She had her baggage. So she didn’t need to fall in love with a married man. She didn’t need the threat of media exposure. And she didn’t need the risk of having her heart broken. But how long can you resist what your heart wants?
This book was an unexpected gem. This new author just sucks you into the story and I swear you feel everything that the main character, Sara, feels.
There was some deliciously naughty cat and mouse games between the couple... Fun stuff!
But there was also guilt... The other woman, his...wife??
Yeah, you heard me. Mr. Dreamboat himself, has a wife.
But the book has more twists and turns than a tilt-a-whirl!!! I swear, you are never bored in this book! Author Ani San keeps you on your toes.
Even with all of the craziness in the story, it still manages to have a happy ending. The kind that leaves you with the happy sigh from completing a beautiful book.
If I were to have one complaint, it would be that I wish there was a print version for my shelf! Come on, Miss Ani San... Make a print!
I only like troubled heroine when it's done well. When she's just has no backbone, that's when it drives me nuts! Sara is an easily manipulated, emotionally stunted, pseudo wimp…
I loved this story of love and pain and dark and sunny times. It is heartfelt and moving. I would recommend this story to anyone wanting an agreeable romantic read.
4 Romantic stars, not counting the remark below.
Remark:
The story as I read it needs editing. There are numerous self-published stories that could benefit from some editing but this one really seriously needs it.
I just saw that the writer did withdraw the story because of this and that is wise.
Please Ani San, get some editors in and republish because it is worth it. And continue writing.
Wow! This was a great read!! I loved the emotion and really connected tot he character.
My biggest issue-and this almost completely wrecked the book to be honest- was the terrible spelling and wording mistakes- it made me think someone who barely knew English wrote the book, there obviously was no beta reader for this writer!!
If you can get past that issue (and may can't) the actual novel is great- I will definitely read this one again, and would recommend it!
Okk so I really don't have any problem when woman get involved with married person. Because in my opinion she is not the one in commitment, the one in commitment is the married guy. He has responsibility. If he can ignore his responsibility and continue relation with some other girl why blame the girl!!! But I sure as hell have problem with weak stupid woman. Woman who don't know how to hold her self respect. Don't know when to stop and move on. And I hate those women who can't say the things they really want to say.
I liked the story. I never blame her to go on a relationship with a married superstar. But that she is still pinning for her father when he clearly don't want anything from his bustard child is pathetic. And lastly when Eric come back and she can't say no make me feel disgusted. From there I just can't stand this story. It's a good writing. But God I can't enjoy a book where my woman is pathetic. 😞 I really wanted to like this book but last few chapters made me sick . Real sick.. god after knowing Julia is in Sydney why the fuck she went there i have no clue!!
I'm sorry it's 2 🌟 star for me. I rarely feel sorry for giving poor rating. But in this case I'm very sorry because I genuinely want to like this book.
