This is definitely a 1Night Stand with a difference: it takes place in a Steampunk resort. Although it as only a background setting and not a major part f the story, I thought it was quite a nice change. Add the facts that Basil is a turned werewolf who is trying to find others of his kind, and the rumors they can be found at said resort, and the scene is set for some interesting fun.

Basil may have requested a 1Night stand date, but what he really wants (other than hopefully find other werewolves) is to become his best friend Jason's lover. The problem is that Jason is married, and Basil doesn’t want to break up the man's relationship. So, to end the "draught" he's been going through as he pines for Jason, he goes to the Steampunk resort. Imagine his surprise and shock when he finds out Jason is his date! Apparently, not everything is as it seems between Jason and his wife.

Jason has been wanting Basil as his lover for a while, and since his marriage was a sham to pacify his werewolf family screaming for him to father some heirs, he is more than ready to explore his love for Basil. He officially ended things with his wife two weeks earlier, so he is ready for his new lover. Except for the resort's villain who has his own ideas…

If you like werewolf stories, if you enjoy reading about almost-unrequited love, and if you're looking for an entertaining read in the 1Night Stand series, you will probably like this short story.

[Sassy Moms Say Read Romance]

So, I first need to thank Decadent Publishing for allowing me the chance to promote Azura Ice's stories. I am a huge fan of the 1NS series but there are so many that I have a hard time deciding what to read. This story was one that has sat on my Kindle for a while, but never caught my attention to read. I am not really a paranormal/shifter reader, so maybe that is why I never got around to it. However, I am glad that I did finally read it.

I enjoyed this short story and even though it wasn't something I normally read, I was intrigued by the story. Basil captivated me with his inner musings about his friend Jason and I hoped that Madame Eve worked her magic yet again. Of course, being Madam Eve, she does work her magic and we meet Jason and I loved Basil and Jason together.

Although, the cowboy that was describe sounded very hot, until we learned what a .......well, I am not sure what I want to call him, but it isn't nice.........he actually is.

It's tough to review this one because I don't want to give anything away, but if you like shifter romances, this is one I would recommend.

I enjoy shifter stories. This one was pretty good. It could have been longer and the steampunk element could have been more utilized, in my opinion.

This is not a bad story. It could have used a bit of fleshing out in parts, as well as a bit more editing (while reading you sometimes get lost when they say ‘his’ when you’re not really sure who it is referencing).

Eh. Steampunk theme was cool But Jason and Basil? not so much. Nothing unique about the storyline itself. And sex scene Left a lot to be desired.
