Back when I was a little kid, I was, in a way, obsessed with reptiles and amphibians (herpetology) and to some extent dinosaurs. So whenever I saw a book store, I would look around for a book about snakes, turtles, rhyncocephalia, etc.
I found this when I was 12, and although the vocab was a bit advanced for me at that stage, I esteemed it the most comprehensive herpetology book I'd ever read. And believe me, I read a lot.
